http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2013...Q1-of-2016.aspxThe completion of Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd’s Ampang LRT extension project is now expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2016 after running into problems at its site near the SJK (Tamil) Castlefield.
The school with 500 students and 35 teachers currently occupies a 1.01ha site along Jalan TPP 1/17 in Puchong, Selangor.
According to Prasarana, the project’s contractors were chased away by the school’s representatives on Wednesday when they tried to secure a work area located along the edge of the school compound.
“We have obtained all the relevant approvals in order to enter our work site there.
“The school is currently on state land and the Land Office gave us approval to enter the site in early 2011,” Prasarana’s development division group director Zulkifli Mohd Yusoff said in a statement here yesterday.
It was previously reported that about 150m of the alignment would pass through the fringe of the school’s field, an area that Prasarana’s contractors would fence up before commencing construction.
The company said that its contractors had met with similar incidents when they had tried to enter the earmarked area in November last year.
