Use a polarizer to cut out reflection from snow.

i bought from there, fair price and good service. They organize various activities for their customers also

yeah, i saw lots of activities posted in their FB also, hmm, but location wise, might not be so convenient, but thanks, anyway

by the way, would it be feasible to get a single leg tripod?

Try not skimp if you going to get 1. coz from what i read, a bad quality done more harm to your picture than good.
you can try searching the net for the review. personally go for Hoya for affordable or Tiffen.

For travelling, I wouldn't recommend using a monopod, getting a Gorillapod would serve you better as it's smaller and serves as a tripod on tables and/or other surface for group photos with YOURSELF in it.

While traveling, monopod is handy for taking selfies =p
But I myself brought a tripod during my last trip. We did a lot of cross country and hiking. It wasn't as bad as some would suggest

walking stick is not suppose to support your weight but as a way to balance while walking
but having said that, these monopods are not suppose to function as a walking stick either but you can use la

Been using Sony Nex 3 first gen for 3 full years now, plastic body did cracked few spot, sometimes miss focus on background due to the untraceable lcd screen at outdoors, but generally still usable. Very tempting to upgrade my camera and buy a 35mm 1.8 lens.

So after googling around, seems like Nex 5T and 6 will be my choice, and below are the differences, any point i miss ?

nex 5t -
newer
cheaper - around RM 800
180 degree tilt screen (important to me)
touchscreen (good to have)
nfc (important to me)

nex 6 -
EVF (important to me)
pop up flash (good to have)
2 dial control
standard hotshoe

Dont know how to decide, i want NFC, self potrait tilt screen(i travel alone sometimes) , EVF (for more accurate focus) and pop up flash, but have to give up some function no matter which one i pick.

thanks!

Actually my package comes with a Marumi 40.5mm lens protector filters and I did some research on Marumi.
Read some test results:
http://www.lenstip.com/115.4-article-Polar...nd_summary.html

Marumi DHG Super Circular P.L.D 72 mm was as good as B+W but the price was half of B+W.
So i am thinking to get Marumi or Hoya (depends on price)

I think i am going to stick with the kit lens --> 16-50mm f3.5-5.6 then add on circular polarizer filter.

The doubt that i have is, the size! I think the lens size is 40.5mm and i need a ring for the filter, right? rclxub.gif

ya. that 40.5mm is super duper hard to find a filter. hence i get a 52mm filter and from here, i juz need to purchase the step-up/down ring.(alot cheaper haha). (i got the 40.5-52mm for kit lens and 49-52mm for sel35f18)
n yea. B+W is juz too expansive.

damn, the 1670 use a 55mm filter front....need to get step down pulak doh.gif
wonder the smaller filter will obstruct the view of the lens. eg. Lens filter size require 55mm - but filter is 52mm. hmm.gif

Guys, can we use Nikon Speedlight SB-900 on Nex 6? Do we need any special adapter?

Getting a smaller filter adapted to a larger filter mount will definitely cause darkening of the edges. Beware.
