Upgrading of firmware is a risky procedure; do it with utmost care and attention:
> When performing the firmware upgrade, please use a fully charged rechargeable battery pack NP-FW50 or the AC adaptor AC-PW20 (sold separately).

> Do not remove the battery or AC adaptor during the upgrade; otherwise, the camera may become inoperable due to the sudden power shutdown.

>Remove the memory card from the camera beforehand.

>When using an A-mount lens with the LA-EA2 Mount Adaptor (sold separately) and setting to use the AF Micro Adj. function, the registered value is reset

Bought my Nex6 a couple of weeks ago. Loving it much.
However for the playmemoriescameraapps site, I am having this message shows up everytime I sign in:
Signed out since the service is not distributed in the Country/Region of your account.

I also encounter this issue on my nex6 when using my account in malaysia region. You need to create an account in US region then can access the apps in there.

There is a few dust that stuck on the sensor, can anyone please advise on where can i go for sensor cleaning service (preferably in Melaka) ? Sony Service Centre?

Does anyone know how to use external flash in wireless mode (Nex 6). I have a HVL-F43AM flash light which I can't pair up with my camera.
I went to Sony Center asking for help, even the flash HVL-F60M can't work with Nex 6 in wiereless mode.

Yes, Sony center but wait for maybe a week to get it back. Otherwise buy a blower n DIY by facing the camera downwards n blowing upwards to the sensor.

No, I didnt mount HVL on the hot shoe.

Do I need to pop up the built in flash to trigger the HVL-F43am?

The WL icon on my Nex does not lit at all but when I attach HVL-F43am on Nex, then the small icon lit up.

It's compatible with NEX-6. I've mounted my friends unit on my NEX and it fires. Turn off the camera will auto turn off the flash too.

However, the built in NEX-6 flash cannot wirelessly trigger the external HVL-F43 flash , because NEX-6 doesn't have a built in flash commander. As far as I have tried, NEX-6 'Wireless' flash only works when a HVL is mount on the hotshoe to trigger ANOTHER HVL flash.

Solution 1: get the small HVL-F20M or another HVL-F43 to mount on NEX-6, and wireless'ly trigger the external HVL-F43.

I'm firing 3rd party flash with NEX-6 built-in flash, when the external flash is set to Slave Film (SF) . I checked page 21 of HVLF43AM pdf manual but it doesn't seem to have slave mode, so probably can't either. so solution 2 caugh .. ohmy.gif caugh..3rd..caugh.. party. ohmy.gif .caugh..

Oh well,...I suppose it's true that Sony's flash system needs to be made more flexible and open, when it competes with others.

I use to have Auto Wireless Import for MAC OS, but now switch to Windows but couldnt find the software for window version.
