Very nice. The reason for the large top and bottom bezels are entirely due to the anorexia of the device, coz the mainboard and daughterboard are the ones taking up all the bezel space.

Another 2mm thickness and the device could have been shorter. Looks like the back panel is just glue plus a thin O-ring. I wonder how the Sony center deals with RMAs and waterproofing of repaired units.

Simply use solvent to remove adhesive residue and special tool to take off the O Ring and replace them easily. I don't think they will replace a new back panel for you then.....

If u look at the display models at Sony outlets, it is full of scratches, after looking at it it doesn't look safe if there's no screen protector.

IMHO sony should do away with the shatterproof film as it does not serve any purpose plus interferes with some sp. Worse thing is sony logo comes off when it is removed making the xzu look like an imitation phone.

Finally received my Niilkin SP ( US$ 5.69 only ) from EBay. So far so good and have no issues as those reported that the SP will affect screen sensitivity. I don't really believe in using SP but since the antishatter film could be scratch - I have no choice
My display is still perfect having used the phone past 2 weeks+

I think it only happen on selective sp brand. The one which having problem is so called Sony Ori from Sony Centre and you proven Nillkin is okay. Good, at least we know Nillkin is ok to used then. Thanks, Benny.

based on the picture, the fonepad looks bulky, and the side bezel is quite thick, looks more like a tablet. i hope in real looks better
