Finally received my Niilkin SP ( US$ 5.69 only ) from EBay. So far so good and have no issues as those reported that the SP will affect screen sensitivity. I don't really believe in using SP but since the antishatter film could be scratch - I have no choice
My display is still perfect having used the phone past 2 weeks+

You applied on top of shatterproof film?

Thanks for the respond. I'm not first step mover so getting newly launch phone is not a priority (that's why I wait for Z quite some time so that the price dropped but then XZU offers different experience with it's large screen  sweat.gif ).

it's just that from what i read honami strength is in it's camera but I don't really focusing on that as I'm already satisfied with arc's camera for a casual picture. if honami only beat xzu on camera's department, then my choice will certainly goes to XZU due to it's larger screen. unless if XZU camera lose to arc camera, then I might need to reconsider  rclxub.gif

another reason for why i chose XZU. see how many rows of icons you can squeeze in one screen?

compared with my older acro S to Z, i can only say the Z will get a larger sized icon. whereas in XZU the bigger screen adds more icons. (or maybe there's a way to minimize the icons in the Z this i am not sure)

Yes. Apparently warranty is void if one removed the film. Only using ballpen as stylus is not so smooth. Finger n pencil is normal as before.

Don't use microsim adapter as possible damage to sim module. Use proper microsim card

Warranty void from removing a "screen protector" ??? shocking.gif It's not like they're going to give you warranty if you happened to break your screen.....

how come got such things like this. an analogy would be: if i remove my car's tinting, i will lose warranty if my engine explodes once i start it after getting my car =.=

They are finding ways to void the warranties. Probably design itself is not good enough to last for a year laugh.gif

like liquipel's liquid, isn't water proof, it just repels water =.=

sony must think= hey i think this phone might break so lets stick something on there. if someone takes it out, void the warranty so we can clean our hands off this quickly

I picked up this anti-shatter film n warranty from XDA : I quote -

E-mail from Sony:

Dear Mr. *********

Thank you for contacting Sony Xperia Support.

First of all we are sorry you experiencing issues with your Sony Mobile handset

With regards to your inquiry, we would like to inform you that, Sony Xperia Z mobile phone features a tempered and scratch-resistant display glass. In addition, the glass often has a shatterproof layer, an anti-shatter film (ASF), over it. The purpose of the anti-shatter film (ASF) is to make the display withstand being dropped from greater heights. The anti-shatter film has a positive effect on the sensitivity and accuracy of the touch screen.

The anti-shatter film is softer than the display glass and thus less scratch-resistant. If the layer is peeled off the display will lose some its shatterproof characteristics.

Note: Please note that we do not recommend the removal of the anti-shatter film. This voids the warranty. In cases where the device needs to have the anti-shatter film replaced, we would suggest you to visit one of the authorized Sony Mobile Service Centers in order to have your Sony Xperia™ Z mobile phone thoroughly checked.
