QUOTE(Niv86 @ Jul 8 2014, 04:18 PM) I had a persona before i bought my suprima, I drive suprima before, now driving persona, but handling seriously i feel persona feel more refine, differences : persona lower than suprima. FC : about the same (100% city + alot traffic light persona slightly better) Maintenance : Persona more straight forward. Suprima need give a little more attention. Ride: although Suprima sit higher, but it is slightly better than Persona. (Persona ride and handles is no joke) performance modification : persona no limit, suprima limited. turning radius : suprima better. Engine noise : persona is much louder, i do experience the same driver side noise only. Somehow its so incredible that once u shift your head over to passenger side, u hear nothing... Suprima is more on CVT and stock Tire sound ( achilless 2233 tire sound is unbearable at some point. overall, suprima is an upgrade to me. although i miss my persona alot... LOL |

QUOTE(DinZz KorSar @ Jul 19 2014, 12:51 PM) try doing it at 200 bro, then u will feel and know the difference. . . btw, Im an ex-gen2 owner. hehehe I test drive preve already, yes the handling is better than persona due to stiffer suspension but it feel like somewhat lack of steering feedback or road feeling compare to gen2 and persona. |

Hi guys, just came back from test driving a Suprima S.
what i found out after test drive: 1. engine is a bit noisy, especially under acceleration. it also feels "lazy" somewhat. probably because i didn't use S (does it have a profiound effect?) 2. a slight delay from the point i release the brake to moving at traffic light (normal Proton CVT trait?) 3. Rattling at driver side door. It went away when i lowered the window (car mileage 7126 kms) 4. steering a bit light. too light for my liking. But, it's easily the most comfy Proton i've ever driven. |

QUOTE(Karenalvin @ Jul 24 2014, 08:55 AM) They are not called for simple task. Normally royal police or the special task force drive this.Higher ranking or those defense department who follow sultan are driving sultan's import cars. The last time i saw was JZ 9 and JZ 10 driving Lamborgini aventator and F10 . When they come out the car, they were wearing police uniform but their shoulders a lot stars and badges. Normal fat police that want kopi $ do not drive even a preve ( kancil, wira ) |

Suprima poliskar, highway chase maybe will give those 1.8l NA or smaller engine cars a run for their money la. Against larger engine cars and/or in urban environments, it's a different game liao....unless their Suprima is MT and their engine is tuned up to take advantage of the MT gearbox.
Otherwise, it is just a replacement for their aging Wira/Waja/Saga fleet. But a word of advice for those ahbeng Vios/Saga/Myvi/Fiesta/Swift/City/Jazz/Wira etc. etc. don't be so confident about outrunning poliskars in urban roads because you think your car got better pickup and more nimble than the gorilla Suprima, because a) They are trained drivers. Ahbengs....probably are not. b) Your car kenot outrun bullets. This post has been edited by dares: Jul 24 2014, 11:45 AM |
