QUOTE(skybear123 @ Aug 14 2013, 09:12 AM) Pictures, I din't have any. But information about the car, I have plenty First of all, I still see no wild factor in this coming new model of Proton. The car comes with built-in features, yes. As of fully loaded? No, I don't think so. So basically it comes with 6 bags. A trunk that is even bigger than Prevè? I think so. True day-light running LED, yes not the fake one. This time, BRIGHTER. Finally it looked okay. The rims? No, it wasn't taken from Inspira. It looks better than the one on Inspira. Front and Back parking assist, yes I said front and back. A reverse camera, quite clear actually. But the player on the car, ugh -.- I can't accept that thing spoiling the whole car. That player is just SO CHEAP looking, OMGE At least the Finishing of the interior is slightly better, but it's more or less the same. Just look better. And no more water-repellent shit seats, this time around it comes with nicely finished napa leather seats! Oh that quality, I just love it. It's a tight one, unlike the very soft ones you find in those Luxury car like Mercedes. Which make your long ride a less pain in the ass. Other features like Hill-Assist, TCS, ESC, EBD, ABS. Player wise, it's an android player. Ugh Naming wise, the name is real nice. I just hope that the name won't backfire. As for release date, nothing has leaked out. Should be around the beginning of September or the end of this month Any info on the pricing? As for the Hill-Assist, issit using the brakes like VW/Ford, or using slipping clutch like the current car |

QUOTE(SoZa @ Aug 14 2013, 09:35 PM) the interior look better with the silver trim, preve faux wood look cheap and cheesy, the shine doesn't doesn't help either. Why they wanna use Piano black on the steering is beyond me.personally i feel that the iafm variant copperish brown look better than premium variant shiny wood and there is actually a paddle shifter there, its now piano black colour |

QUOTE(am_i_rulez @ Aug 15 2013, 10:24 AM) proton dah habis nama melayu ke sampai pakai nama2 luar?? persona = personality preve = predict suprima = supreme QUOTE(alpha0201 @ Aug 15 2013, 10:42 AM) Prevé means "To prove" (as in, to prove that Proton can). This is Proton's definition for this name.http://paultan.org/2012/04/04/proton-preve...for-the-p3-21a/ QUOTE(mofisa @ Aug 15 2013, 10:47 AM) I thought they have dropped the Lotus R&H badge (renamed to Proton R&H). Why are they reverting back to the Lotus brand? |

The SAs will probably mumble incoherently when you ask them QUOTE(Candlenie @ Aug 15 2013, 07:44 PM) And I wonder why no one is excited with the turbo tag Since when campro has turbo engine? They put it as campro 1.6 turbo instead of campro 1.6 cfe Err....CFE = Turbo? This post has been edited by dares: Aug 15 2013, 07:51 PM |

QUOTE(mystvearn @ Aug 15 2013, 06:19 PM) Do you need Hill Hold assist for Auto car? I thought once you put into P< car is lock, put into D, car moves forward. On a hill, if put in N, then I think car will go backwards. Hill hold assist holds your car on a steep enough slope when you move your feet from the brakes to the throttle pedal.Without it, most cars will roll backwards the moment you lift off the brakes. |

QUOTE(mystvearn @ Aug 15 2013, 08:14 PM) I know what it does. Usually comes in manual transmission because longer in neutral gear. In Auto, not sure why it is there, since you are not in N that long. For clutch-based autos, the reasons are the same as in a manual. When you press the brake, the clutch is disengaged. So when you lift off the brake and move your leg to the throttle, the clutch takes time to grab the flywheel again. It is at that interval your car may roll backwards. VWs and Ford DCT cars comes with hill hold assist.Regular ATs just use the torque converter to drag the car and keep it from rolling backwards, therefore may not need hill hold assist. But on really steep slopes it may still roll backwards. IINM, the Punch CVT comes with some sort of limited hill hold function using similiar techniques like you would a manual when balancing the throttle and clutch on a slope. If the ECU detects that you are on a slope it will instruct the engine to generate more torque and apply half pressure to the clutch to hold the car on the slope, after you have lifted your foot off the brakes. Correct me if I am wrong, though. This post has been edited by dares: Aug 15 2013, 09:08 PM |

QUOTE(caesarx @ Aug 16 2013, 02:23 PM) I think most of the car name does not come with the name 'hatchback' Couldn've just named in "Preve S" or something. But Proton likes to end their car name with 'a' QUOTE(siegwarhiet @ Aug 16 2013, 02:24 PM) He is not incorrect. Vios is still the best selling non-national car, though I dunno how many of those buyers are youngsters. |
