QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Aug 1 2013, 09:19 AM) Indeed. Yeah. I'll drain it tonight until kaput before I chargeGive it some cycle charge, I notice it is always like that, at least it is for all phone I use before, battery life always did much better after around a week usage. Sometimes new firmware updates, also need some time cycle. |

QUOTE(remonx @ Aug 1 2013, 10:31 AM) If its any near to the Z build, normal tap washing shud be no issues. Ive washed my XZ a lot of times with no issues. also the was an instance my son spilled over a good serving of ice cream on it and i just washed away like nobody's business. But as for XZU, with the open headphone jack port, I cannot say much. Maybe will try washing it in that area once i get my set later today.. |

Im still pondering about the so-called "WATER-PROOF" features. If anyone have a solid and concrete experiment with it do share it here.

QUOTE(remonx @ Aug 1 2013, 10:31 AM) Washing is not a problem. It is as good as Xz.Who would want to submerge it in water unless is accidentally drop in. And there is a limit of water depth n time too after which is not waterproof anymore |

Okay, i dont have much higher expectation for the water proof features actually. If it can submerged in water, lets say capture pictures at beach vacation inside the sea, then will attract me buying it. |

Test yourself to assess Anyway I rarely use phone to take photos. Definitely can say unusable without flash at very low light I have posted one shot yesterday taken under average low light n still acceptable Was wondering the quality and camera capability as I often take pics with my XZ on Superior Auto in low light conditions and most of the time satisfactory for me. Example of lowlight condition i get good results with superior auto; KLCC park at night around 9pm. I think i wont be needing a flash on my XZU as planning to use it only as a secondary backup gadget/device, as my XZ will be my daily driver. |

If only if its waterproof capability is the same as Xperia Z, since on paper, it should be better than XZ. I wash my XZ on daily basis using soap as I didn't use any case. Wouldn't bother it gets dirty or oily, hahaha. And I also submerged it inside water and take photos underwater. Just that the speaker will be muffled and have to wait for around 2 hours to let it dry up. So I have confidence in XZU's waterproof capability, couldn't wait for LTE models in SG!

What worries me though is the open headphone jack. the XZ had flaps on em. I had a scenario with my previous HTC One X where water got in the open jack, and my phone went haywire as it shows that i had a headphone jack slotted in while i didnt. it went on for a few hours. But then again, it was a non IP rated device to begin with. But unless any vids come out regarding the jack being submerged/washed with water, then we should take XZU water-resistance with a little caution. |
