You are so right. If i have a XZU, i wont test and submerge it in water unless it is a tangible result of it.

QUOTE(plasmapuff @ Aug 3 2013, 10:01 PM) It doesn't matter if you turn autosync off- it wont retrieve anything or notify you unless you turn your screen on and are using your phone. Not a realistic scenario for most people imo... I did a full day test today with auto sync on for my gmail, outlook, fb, twitter, whassap. stamina mode on with whassap allowed, mostly browsing n email, 1 hour+ gps, snapped 30 photos, 50% brightness, mostly on 3GCan you do a test with autosync on? From 100% to device off total SOT 4 hours 30 min This post has been edited by gouken: Aug 3 2013, 10:18 PM |

battery test from 12pm yesterday to now (1%) with these settings:
- Stamina mode OFF - Auto-sync ON (Gmail, FB, Twitter, Whatsapp, Outlook) - myXperia ON - 30 minutes Real Racing 3 (never seen this game so smooth before on other devices or platforms...hehe) - Brightness 50% - Usage: Chrome, Gmail, Whatsapp, Camera (30+ shots), 1 hour GPS SOT is 4 hour (compared to last test 4 1/2 hours with similar settings but STAMINA ON) Will be longer if I use other browser like Opera because Chrome by default is GPU accelerated for modern markup rendering, thus drain more battery. I will still stick with Chrome because I love the cutting-edge Blink engine in the browser (i'm a web coding geek) and the UI is more tastefully designed compared to other browsers. Overall, I think it can lasts me comfortably whole day+ for my average daily usage. So I'm quite happy with the battery life. And I'm very very happy with the huge screen especially while playing games and for GPS (just right for my pockets too!) |

Those that yet to get sp my tip for not scratching your screen is to not wipe it at all temporarily. anti shatter get scratched usually during wiping (you can see tiny lines under light). Anyway, compared to my previous Z, Ultra has a better anti shatter film and remain perfect even after several days use, not so with Z. So dont worry too much if you are gentle until your sp arrived.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Aug 5 2013, 09:53 AM) I wipe several times a day using a soft piece of silky cloth. YET to see any hairline scratches. Ya. Another improvement I see with the new anti-shatter is its perfect to the edge size than in Z. This solves the horrible dust collection at the edges problem in Z.Yes the anti-shatter film is better than XZ. Unless one is a rough user unlikely you will get it scratched. I have been using my ballpen to replace my finger n already 4 days as such n display remain perfect. Get a casing to protect display n don't exposed it unnecessary to coins/keys inside pocket with display exposed |

QUOTE(trowachin @ Aug 5 2013, 03:32 PM) black. the surface size of ultra so big its better to get a folio/flipcase, more prone to crack the screen than scratching it. with folio case, no need back sp oso.if use case don't look as thin la. haha. actually it's pretty solid and well built. but, as your screen property grows, there will be higher risk of getting scratches also. |

QUOTE(upmost systems @ Aug 7 2013, 10:31 AM) what do you guys think about bundle sony case..after using for few days feel quite uncomfortable to operate the phone..thinking about going naked I like the case because its minimal and provides all edges protection with the tpu base and the nice Xperia Z Ultra words on it. If you go naked, i think the edges are less prone to scratches compared to XZ shiny frame. |

I think for average to big size guys shouldn't be a problem for non tight pants..im average size just ngam ngam fit my khaki pants without feeling uncomfortable moving around, like carrying a thin and tall booklet in your pocket. For jeans i just hold it with hand like carrying a slim leather diary (or purse for the ladies). The device is more tall than wide in term of bigness (16:9)..
