Wanna ask you guys, I was thinking of buying camera, and was considering either d3200 or d5100. Budget is about 2k+/- and I'm just a beginner. Any suggestion?
*
You should go and try both of the camera, the d3200 has a newer sensor but loss some features from the d5100 such as tiltable screen etc.

I used my friend's d3200 for a while but I think it is way too small to hold comfortably for normal sized hands, the d5100 is larger and easier to hold.

I thought 5100 is more expensive? O.o

Price wise 5100<3200<5200

The 5100 with Kit lens is around 1.5-1.6K only

If your budget can stretch to D3200/5200 territory I'd definitely suggest you take a look at a D7000 instead biggrin.gif

hmmm thanks for all the suggestion. Dont think will get a D90 though. D5200 is tempting but a bit pricey...if get that then cant top up to get more lens.

Btw, would it be advisable to get body only and getting 3rd party lens? That way I won't be wasting the kit lens and let it collect dust in case seldom use it.

Get D7000 bro... Definitely worth it... The last time i check D7000 body only price is RM24xx... Then, u get a used 18-105 or 18-55... Or u get a 50mm prime lens smile.gif

D7000 offers an excellent shooting experience with a professional feel and features for not too much money at all...

although Canon 7D is die hard competitor....

if u use d7000 with 50mm 1.8d, u cannot justified the IQ yet. Must shoot with good lens..then u will know the "power". laugh.gif
