by the way, when you are going up for a high ball, do you stick one of your knee out or your knee out but your toes pointing upwards so that the studs shows..

just want to know if i show the studs out, is it wrong ?
because during the heat of the game, sure somehow we can forget things...
*
It depends on the situation. If I'm under pressure, I'll stick something out to protect myself & discourage anyone from coming near. If U go for corners it's usually quite difficult to stick your legs out becoz of the positioning. U can be comfortable sticking your legs out when Ur facing the ball. Anyway U'd have to protect Urself.

I got my first ever yellow card in a friendly last Friday. There was a through ball into the penalty, I was sure I could get to it first. then I realized that the striker had the advantage, but since I already commit myself, I had to continue. So I had to go in leg first & hit the oncoming striker. Result ? A badly injured striker, a yellow card for me & a goalkick.

Fellas, I think I'll be out of this forum for the next 10 days, pls keep this thread active. C U all in 10 days' time. Good keeping...

But if I were you I would probably just try going for the ball also...But looking at the situation you took down the last man I think, I thought it would've been a red card.

I just bought a cheap Diadora gloves from Al Ikhsan that day, they're suprisingly good and comfortable to use for its price(RM65). I could've swear it's better than the Primero. I find it easier to catch fast shots compared to the Primero...

when i try to catch fast shots they spill laugh.gif maybe i havent had the privilege of stickier gloves.. or my technique is wrong. for very fast ballz i have to make 2 touches to save. first is by cushioning, after cushioining the ball will be "hanging" in the air 2cm from my palm. then only i make a quick catch. sweat.gif

Well if you're talking about fast shots, it depends on the time I have to react. If they attempt a long distance hard shot usually I have the time to prepare my hand to catch the ball for good. If I got no time to react usually I can't even handle a average shot. I use to have crap handling with my Adidas FS Carbon, improved a lot with my FS Replique, although now I'm sticking with my Primero and Diadora for regular fun matches. The FS Replique maybe I use incase I hurt my finger or facing with extremely fierce opponents

Ahaha...invest a little more and I think RM60 can give you a decent gloves. Ask tenno when he comes back for some entry level goalkeeping gloves. You want my Primero? Can sell you RM20....use one time only...still got the new smell... size 8..ehehe...jkjk ...i guess GK gloves is the last thing you can sell 2nd hand

depends on your technique.... usually i will play safe, just palm or punch it away..
i only catch under no pressure... or i am very confident of having a clean catch..

actually depends la

for me i got the following
- one cheapo pair for futsal.
- one standard pair for field practice
- one dry and one wet condition glove for friendly match or tournament

yeaps...
thats all...

but i still like to use the cheapo gloves for all because you can really trash it and at the end of the day you wont feel so sakit hati because of it. after all its only RM 20 ++ compared to my other gloves which cost way more then that....

depends la...
if u drag your palm along the sandy floor, sure peel la...

usually the gloves (cheap wan Rm 30) will last me about 3 months of daily (including sat, sun, rain and shine) usage....

and i mean i trash it... but i did not drag my palm along the sandy floor la...
maybe u can pay some more attention to how you manage your positioning on the sandy area....

Actually, the cheaper the gloves, the harder for it to peel. If you don't want it to peel at all, get those ping pong skin palm one... that one i use few months also never peel at all... but that one totally not good one la...

Erm...Futsal also better to have gloves la... The ball move so fast, kena your palm sure pain one. And also once your hand start to sweat it's harder for you to catch the ball. If got gloves, your gloves more wet, the better laugh.gif

Value for money arrr... Hmmm... My friend using a Puma V5.06 which cost RM55... It looks good but the palm surface very small la...

It is much more harder to catch futsal ball. The ball move faster and it is better to punch the ball out. As for my gloves, i use a Puma gloves with hard leather surface. Been using for half a year and now it start to tore. At least it is much more durable than normal football gloves. For futsal goalies, go for the rough leather surface, much more durable altough the grip is not as firm as normal gloves. I manage to catch a few shoots from the opposition. In the end, it is better to punch the ball rather than catching it.
