Hi guys, finally I get to go online. It's my 6th day here in Terengganu, life's been very hectic, tight schedule & all, but I get to organize a small football league for my colleagues here yesterday so it's been good. I dun play in goal anyway.

Shiloong For cheap starter gloves, I highly recommend Nike Tiempo Match, RM55 from most Nike shops or sports shops.

If U have difficulties handling direct, powerful shots, usually it means Ur technique is wrong. Most likely that your hands are too close together. Another trick to handling difficult shots like that is to palm it downwards, let it bounce & then pick it up. A lot of keepers does that.

I'll be back in KL on Thursday....hopefully we can meet up, maybe just have coffee or whatever....

As I said again, people here cannot afford to change their gloves everymatch like you whistling.gif

Btw thx for the coaching that day...Will try to improve it from time to time.

Btw wat type of boots will be suitable for GK? For field football la...Round studs or those blade studs?

depends on the field you are playing on....
round studs and blade has different function (in theory la)

but actually it all boils down to which are you more comfortable with....
and those different functions are pretty much no changes....

so comfortable is enough...

they say blade is better for gk? coz as gk u move more sideways and blades theoretically are better at stopping sideways movement than round studs.. also, there are special gk boots. made by uhl sports.. they have raised heel , etc, coz normally keepers have to be on toes.. so they make it like kinda easier for u to lean forwards on your toes.

Whoa....hold Ur horses !!! I'm back !!!

The reason I'm not online for so long was that I dun have any PC yet, heck, I dun even have any office yet !! I report for duty at the Treasury in Putrajaya last week, & for the next week I guess I'll finally get my office as I already know where I'm gonna be placed.

I haven't been able to play, or train for almost a month now, I had to go to work at 6.15 am & I'm usually back home by 7pm, in bed by 10.30, so no time to train. The KL League is having no games until the 19th, so I train by myself now. Yesterday I played in a friendly for my local team & managed to injured myself, I can't walk properly now, let alone play.

As for your questions on which boot, it's down to the type of field & your personal preference. I've been playing in blade studs since last year & I've no problem with it except in very slippery pitches. Then again, I'd recommend getting a soft ground boots if U choose to use blades, as the blade studs is taller. In my case it's Adidas Salvador SG (RM99 from Adidas Pertama Complex). I bring both pairs to matches & try it on the field first. Now that I already know most of the pitches used in KL League, I'd know which boot to use.

& it's a good idea to keep a pair of those screw-in SG boots (6 studs usually) for rainy games. I use Umbro Match Bronze SSG (RM110 from Pertama Complex), there's quite a number of those type of boots in Pertama, all below RM130.

Nike has released its T90 Grip gloves for the local market (RM99). The palm is the same as the Tiempo Match gloves, 3mm supersoft foam which is excellent in all conditions.

I'd have bought it, but I got 4 pairs edi, maybe next season.

Adidas Salvador SG?
For RM99 only? Sounds very reasonable. Old model izit? Haha...i'm fine with it, afterall, GK no need those canggih boots and all that... tongue.gif
Is the stock limited or wat? Currently I'm trying for a GK post in my college football team... Dunno can or not... Totally no field football experience. And my college team is like... 90% foreigners? Lol...
