Gave them a call and they told me that I have a balance of RM2 and I need to visit their service centre to terminate my line. The problem is... I was told that I do not need to terminate my line because I need it to be active in order to port to another telco

Getting Started

|
UMI 18, 28, 38 & 48 T&C (https://www.u.com.my/tnc/1317)
The validity period is 30 days from activation. On its expiry, your subscription will be automatically rolled-over only if you have a credit balance of at least RM18 for UMI 18, RM28 for UMI 28, RM38 for UMI 38 and RM48 for UMI 48. Any unused minutes and SMS will be rolled over for use if you purchase the same plan. (UMI 18 repurchase UMI 18, UMI 28 repurchase UMI 28, UMI 38 repurchase UMI 38 and UMI 48 repurchase UMI 48). However, any unused minutes and SMS must not exceed in aggregate 50 minutes and 50 SMS (for UMI 18), 100 minutes and 60 SMS (for UMI 28), 300 minutes and 60 SMS (for UMI 38) and 200 minutes and 60 SMS (for UMI 48) at the time your subscription is rolled over. Any minutes or SMS which exceed this limit will be forfeited.
Assume that I'm on UMI 28 and the subscription is automatically rolled-over (renewed) each month. Assume that I do not make any voice call for the following two months (e.g. Feb & Mar). When the subscription is automatically rolled-over (renewed) in Apr, how many unused minutes will be carried over (rolled over) to Apr? Is it 100 mins or just 50 mins? In other words, after the subscription is automatically rolled-over (renewed) in Apr, how many will be the "voice min" balance? Is it "100+50" or just "50+50"?
Thanks.

Accumulated free mins maximum cap at 2 times of the free mins
Meaning if you are not using any of the 50 mins, you can store maximum 100 mins even few months renewal

Thanks, when I have free time, I will stop by at BTS to change it to nano sim I guess the hassle for iPad is need to activate first in a phone for either UMI plan or boardband plan for prepaid as ipad don't support USSD or SMS natively And to reload it with instant topup too like jackcow and so on

I'm also looking for a data or boardband plan for my ipad mini rd. Either independent SIM card with its own plan or get multi-sim attached to my existing plan.

Anyone knows what happens when line validity expire but Umi still got validity? So for example I reload today RM50 (promo) which gives me 100 days validity till let's say 14th May. But on 8th May I renew Umi (so 30 days validity) will my line cut off at 14th May or wait till 7th June?

@LostAndFound
As I understand it, your data service would continue but all outgoing calls and sms (in the bundle or otherwise) will be barred.

If U Mobile were to hop on onto Maxis or Celcom's 4g network then probably you could see something soon. Otherwise, don't even think about it as requesting for the band takes a lot of time and building the infra will take a lot of time as well(Digi took a year+ to implement it)

I'm not really knowledgeable regarding networking but I believe something should be in the works to support the iPhone's LTE capabilities as the number of users here in Malaysia is pretty vast.
