QUOTE(idoblu @ Nov 14 2014, 06:33 PM) So Ive been enjoying using UMI28 for couple of years now. My data usage so far is around 1gb per month but I usually finished my quota before the month is up. You may like to consider MB40 (2GB for RM40) if data is more important than calls and sms.And International Roaming is currently being phased in for UM prepaid. I believe RM10 is the minimum topup to get double validity, same for the free data and U-U calls.

QUOTE(straw @ Dec 29 2014, 05:09 PM) Is it I just top up rm50 to enjoy FREE 50MB Internet Roaming or after top up rm50, do I need to register to enjoy that benefit? No need to register, it's automatically valid for 30 days after the top up.This post has been edited by dgboy: Dec 29 2014, 07:18 PM |

U Mobile have their own 3G licence and network.
For outside of their 3G coverage, these days they ride on Maxis 2G. |

I have a few things to explain here on the new prepaid UMI:
1 Free U-U calls is granted with top up - it's not part of UMI. What has changed is previously you get one hour free calls per day except it is charged 7pm-midnight. Effective today, you get 30 minutes free calls per day that can be made at any time of day or night. 2 Whether old or new UMI plan, the bundled UMI minutes to all networks are deducted first even if you make "free" call to another U number - this is the same as before. 3 The new postpaid plan have something similar to point 2, meaning the all-net and on-net bundles are not independent of one another - so be careful lah. 4 If you want to move from an old UMI plan to a new UMI plan, you cannot carry anything forward. 5 UMI 18, 28, 48 are being faded out, but can be maintained if you have it now and keep active under auto-renewal. Those thinking to switch to the new postpaid plan, do note that calls to U number will be deducted from the All Networks bundle first.
