to flash MIUI form ultima, you need to factory reset in cwm
and why you can't flash stock EMC3 ? what ROM you using ?
your sentence quite confusing rclxub.gif
*
I'm using ultima, plan to change to miui, but I wanna check some features of stock rom first (I9300XXEMC3), so I flash to stock rom directly by using odin 3.07. After flash back, the phone should be clean, but my phone still got some apps and all the file or folder still there and keeping pop up messaging stopped, gmail stopped.....and the SU and cwm was gone, so I wan to reinstall cwm, but I can't install completely, even the odin was said it's pass, no fail, but I'm still cannot install cwm, I've tried odin3.07,3.04 and 1.85, cwm 6 touch, cwm 5, but the cwm still not install into my phone...
When I enter download mode, here is the msg

Product name: gt-i9300
custom binary download : yes (10 counts)
current binary : custom
system status : custom

anyone can help?

I'm on MIUIAndroid 3.7.12. Launcher slows down sometimes, but clearing memory solves it.

Compared with stock-based ROM, the drawback of this MIUI version:
No system volume
Ringtone and notification volume is combined
No camera low-light mode
Worse battery life than ARHD

The advantages are like monitoring your app permissions (number of times requested, which are denied, which are allowed), control auto-start apps, super easy themeing, big fat icons (bigger than Nova Launcher's 130%), clean UI, etc.

I keep alternating between MIUI and ARHD. If you want fast and battery saver, MIUI is not for you.

actually my previous reply sparked my curiosity and i did some google search.

found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1810048

so simple and easy to do. basically copy the said system apk to pc, replace 2 files inside,
then send back to the phone. reboot and profit.

i choose a very nice looking nexus ring. very satisfied with it. :-)

go check the thread, inside the first post got many links to other lock ring also.

If you walk straight and asked for mobo change the answer is no but if you give some reason maybe yes. .
