Yupe  rclxms.gif finally Google is making sure android phones and tablets have ability to professionally edit MS Office files for FREE (rather than 'depend' on Kingsoft Office or Polaris Office for Samsung phones)

NOTE: Faster install QuickOffice and link to Google Drive before September 26, 2013 to get the additional free 10GB.
*
the additional free 10GB only last for 2 years. No use for me.. before that 2 years end it would be a tedious work to move all that GBs across.

QUOTE(kding2 @ Sep 20 2013, 07:00 PM)
How to charge my S3 battery more efficiently?

Currently, my battery got charged up to around 33% in one hour ++. I am not sure whether this is supposedly to be normal or I am not doing it right?
*
Download galaxy charging current from Play
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...rent.free&hl=en
this will display the current that goes into phone from charger. A good one will read 1000. If plug on USB it should be 400+ something.. if your current on AC less than 500 you gonna have a bad time. Consider changing usb cable / swapping charger to see which one give more current.

QUOTE(aizamev @ Sep 22 2013, 12:28 AM)
noooo.. if the person online, the msg is received to the phone. and we can see 2 tick. but it doesnt mean that person have read it. that what i meant.
*
How does blackberry work then? When the user open the messaging window then only it became read? Anyway, whatsapp and line is good enough for most of us, considering it's a free service too.

You sound very new in flashing. Do all reading before doing so. First thing to do is solved your problem you mentioned here otherwise you will be in dead end.. rclxub.gif
*
yeap very new, but doesnt seems hard.

Anyway, last nite i just tried to do a "full unroot" via SuperSU app and restarted phone.

The clock widget oh home screen seems ok already.
Now changed back the Whatsapp notification from "popup when screen off" to "no popup" wait and see if notification/vibrate shows or not.

After I look up forums and Google a bit, it seems that we need to use the right kernel of latest firmware, then it will be fine. Might I ask what rom are you using right now? I am actually thinking of flashing mine to the latest CM 10.1 that is already released as a stable version for S3.

1) You want root only. No custom ROMs, kernels etc. Just root, just to use root apps.

CF Auto Root Via Odin

Why? Tried and tested method, simple to use. No need to choose what exploit you want to use as it's tailored for your device.
What does it do? It gives you a stock recovery (so can't flash things) and roots the Android OS

2) You want to flash custom ROMs / Kernels

If you want root on your existing Android ROM, you can do 1) first. Then flash a recovery of your choice (CWM, Philz, TWRP) via Odin
However, if you immediately plan on flashing a ROM, there's no need to root your existing ROM. Simply skip straight to installing a recovery. Backup then flash what you like.

i faced some issue when wanna root my phone. don't know y CF-Auto-Root http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957273 & ClockworkMod Touch 6.0.3.2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1719744 r not working then i try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703488 but too complicated for me so i end up using CF-Root 6.4 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695238

FYI, u can try latest root method Framaroot http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130276
u need recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2002953 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2200501

u can flash http://get.cm/?device=i9300
read here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2382573

now i'm using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1797109

*nothing to do with kernel. rmb don't play with bootloader. i haven't flash any kernel yet. the CM rom come with kernel itself. just simply pick one u prefer. rmb always read carefully & follow the instruction. good luck!

Thanks for your recommendation about Galaxy Charging Current. It seems there is nothing wrong with my charger but for some reason, it took me 5hours++ to get full battery. I wonder, what is the problem here.

i highly recomend flash slimbean build 8 stable version, instead of cm10.1.3 stable.

CM is 168MB and need download another Gapps that is 87MB
slimbean is just 92.6MB inclusive of gapps already.

slimbean have all of CM features, and some customization from aokp.
both rom are identical in terms of stability and smoothness.

kanasai!!! so expensive... looks like i'll just keep using the phone until the screen totally turns pink and then change phone. kinda sucks because i was hoping to use the phone for at least another couple of years.... sad.gif

on a side note, has anyone else faced the same problem... i've tried searching online and it would seem that it's not really that common a problem, and the only site that described the problem seemed to be describing a much more serious problem.

http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-g...ink-screen.html

http://forums.androidcentral.com/general-h...creen-dark.html

the saddest part about the whole thing is that it only started to get bad when my warranty lapsed... sad.gif

who ever planing to flash custom rom, backup your EFS.

and once you have flash a new rom, nvr revert back to older version, you will loose your imei, and a your backup EFS might not work.
