Just screw up my efs, without any backup.

Anywhere I can send for repair? The phone already passed warranty period, so i suppose normal or samsung shop will be the same.

Backup efs on S3 is very easy by using KTool. Just one click and all done.
Anyway...you can give one last try on flashing stock firmware and see if it help..tho i doubt it.
If cannot..better bring it to service centre as the price not too much different with normal phone shop.

i flashed slimbean 4.3

it feels as if nothing have changed.
the settings layout, outlook, animations, all same.
smoothness also same.

i dont mind continue using this 4.3 slimbean,
but the major downfall is the camera.

apart from the new look, it lacks all the camera features available in 4.2 slimbean. so just restore back to 4.2.

At this time, if you still have an S3 (from 1st batch) and are itchy for an upgrade, I think no point sell or trade in. Just keep as spare phone or do a hand-me-down

But if you have a phone that warranty nearly lapse and have problem with motherboard...better sell now and buy a new one instead of waiting the mobo to die.
Later warranty finished...need to pay RM600 for new mobo.
Better sell and get the whole new spanking phone with one full year of warranty

what modem you guys recommend? heard some will change the efs format..

Make sure you make an efs backup.
That way your phone no need to get JTag or change new Mobo if lost imei.

they had it worked out with nestle so no need trademark or copyright infringing things to happen, nestle will advertise kitkat with android instead of choco bar

I use MIUIAndroid from time to time. Excellent UI and theming. Sometimes use SuperNexus but cannot stand the camera quality. Mostly just use ARHD. Come to think of it, haven't played with MIUI for a couple of months. Maybe will flash soon to see if there's any improvements
