You should sell the phone before the warranty expired. Then buy a new set. Much safer that way for this erratic S3 phone hmm.gif

Did but same.. until I reflash 4.2.2 again only can reboot, but unroot.
Sry what you mean pre-root custom rom? Thanks
*
He flash the whole 4.2.2 custom rom that already have root inside it. That type of custom rom is called pre-rooted roms.

ok thanks!

But I'm flasing I9300XXUFME7 (4.2.2 leak 2nd one), can root with CF 6.4? Or any other way to root?

thanks!
*
CF 6.4..?
Is it the same with CF Auto Root..? CF Auto Root shouldn't have any problem for the new firmware.

Btw..what is your last firmware that have root...4.1.2..?
Why not you flash those 4.2.2 firmware via MobileOdin Pro..?
The app will keep your old root intact no matter what firmware you flash hmm.gif

juz for md5, i think
tar is for odin in pc
*
Custom rom normally use zip files hence can use custom recovery for flashing.
Official firmware comes in. tar.md5 files..can be flash via Odin or MobileOdin.
Flash via Odin...you lose root.
Flash via MobileOdin..your root intact.

anyway, anyone of u facing the lagggggyness of  gallery?

at first i thought it was my class 4 micro sd card problem...
but then set to store in phone already still the same..
everytime open gallery have to wait bout 1-2min.. sometime just force stop /.\

although using QuickPic, but still prefer use back stock gallery
*
Let the Gallery built up all the image cache first. After that you shouldn't have problem with it.

Try open up all you image folders if you have many folders. I have more than 10K images and have no problem with stock Gallery.

i hv a few friends using s3 too, i dont c they have the same prob with me...  cry.gif

and please tell me my class4 micro sd has nothing to do about lag, 16gb class10 exp ahhhhh
*
Nah...Class got nothing to do with slow opening on Gallery.
Only 10 images oso got problem..? That's odd. All those pictures are okay..? Some corrupt images can slowdown the Gallery. It goes boot loop and keep on scanning.

If SME set..upgrading firmware is FREE
If AP set..it will cost you around RM80 - RM100

Another stock firmware XXEMF6 is now available for Samsung Galaxy S3 in Malaysia. Have anyone receive update notification. But for sure, it is not Android 4.3. Still no news of 4.3 on S3.

who needs to buy mobile ODIN when there is a free version with limited features, but good enough to use,
*
Free version don't have Everroot section available where we can flash latest stock firmware without losing our previous root. Which is the main point on having this wonderful app. biggrin.gif

a new s3 owner here,
a quick question, i used to own a s2 and successfully rooted the phone without tampering with the bootloader (the yellow sign).does any available program will do the same?
*
Look for framaroot app at XDA or Google it.
App for one click root. After rooting use TriangleAway to reset back your binary counter.

Just let the RAM be as it is. No need to clear RAM. The phone will handle all the RAM by itself. tongue.gif

Because you're using stock kernel. A few custom kernel can make it 0 tongue.gif

Got a notification that there an official update available this morning...downloaded..installed..and behold!

Stuck at boot screen with the Samsung logo! 2nd time this has happened. First time it was faulty motherboard (according to Samsung service centre) so claimed warranty but now the warranty has ended. Sigh.

FYI, this phone was never rooted or flashed with custom firmware.

Try go into recovery mode (vol up + power + home) then wipe data and cache
