nokia convert is correct. bright individuals everywhere. sad part is im not one of em. resume is good enough for them to call up for interviews but my 2 years experience away from E&I into Draughting turns them off.

running my current contract off to find a technical line with sub con see who accept me

I got an interview for IT Analyst at ExxonMobil.
From the JD, it is like an IT Helpdesk role. Since currently im from Developer role.

I dont know whether i should really go for interview or should i just say no.

Never ask the salary range. Last week they called for an interview, i just say yes.
When on the call, i tot IT Analyst is similar to Developer job. but when receive email with the JD, then i know it is IT Helpdesk.

Im looking for both, money and job satisfaction. Btw im now at HP, money can consider less priority as my pay here is quite nice.
Anyone here working as IT Analyst at ExxonMobile?.

I joined the OnG industry as a subsea trees design engineer about 5 months ago, and only came across this thread today.

Looking forward to learn from the sifus here! Sila tunjuk ajar.

Welcome.

Are you doing desk top engineering only or involve fabrication too?

Which discipline are you mostly involved?

Not sure what you mean by desk top engineering. Hmm....maybe I shall explain it this way.

The bulk of my work is on interpreting client specifications and generate subsea tree designs for fabrication. During the design stage, fabrication processes, techniques and availability need to be thoroughly considered to minimize manufacturing problems. This requires me to communicate well with shop floor personnel to understand critical manufacturing limitations. However, I am not directly involved in the actual fabrication work.

In the event of non-conformance, say fabrication errors, I need to provide technical assistance to resolve the problem.

I'm a mechanical engineer by discipline.

1 of our minor customers (am not sure which are you referring to, the Penjuru Road or the Loyang location).
We provide fabrication services for their completion equipments. Tubing, casing, plugs, hanger, coupling, pup joint, etc.
