i don't know if it's the same for aosp roms. and i don't use xposed or simplistic, i use the old school decompile, edit required file then recompile and place it back in the phone. you may refer here to see what you need to modify.
*
how do i decompile and recompile?

Replacement is actually on the way. I did highlight to MIME support team if this is normal to have on their tempered glass screen protector and they admit it is the problem of lifting and honour the replacement.
Good for you...Haiz~! had to wait for replacement for another week  cry.gif
To used water testing, you need to use a cloth soak it with normal water then apply on the edge... normally if a glass lay flat or seal with no air bubble there wont be water flowing in...but unfortunately for mine, it easily flow in

Oh, good for you and for them! Do report please whether the same issue arises.

HI just a question out of curiosity, my note 2 is AP set, the build is N7100XXDMB4 and Country sales code is N7100OLBDMA4. so when I check the firmware from sammobile.com http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?mode...de=XME#firmware, it says indeed my set belongs to Malaysia. Although I clearly remember it's a Hungary set. is this normal?

To be honest, firmwares are no biggies. They can be sourced from different origins but still functions the same if they are the same versions. It wont harm your device whatsoever.

Good one. Bubbles aside. Where did you purchase this SP from. Really interested to get one to prevent the glass breaks smile.gif Thanks
*
Its normal to have the air bubbles at the sides because note 2 screen is not flat, that is why SGP didnt want to make for note 2. If you not satisfied with how you stick the protector, you can use hot water and steam to reapply it. and you can use a suction cup when u apply to adjust the position for precise.

After few months of using glass protectors purchased from taobao, it seem that it is not as scratch proof as they claimed. However, even with many scratches, it still looks good. A friend of mine dropped his phone and the glass protector was shattered, but stayed in 1 piece like car window. His phone was not damaged.

I also face an issue that glass protectors tend to absorb heat, making the screen very hot to touch when heavy usage.

But overall Glass protectors have better and smoother feel and it is better in finger print resistance, and the thickness doesnt really make a difference thumbup.gif

edit: i think i quoted the wrong person... rclxub.gif

I can vouch for the smoother feel..and its easier now for me to open my pie shortcuts..not sure if it's placebo effect but it feels smoother to the touch and the clarity is much better than my previous plastic s.p..btw how to reapply using hot water? i doubt pouring it directly will do the phone any good..

It's a slow day...weekend upcoming, haze is here, stay indoors and play with your note 2 tongue.gif

Anyway, AA article on XZU launcher screenshots...

The strange thing is no view of an "S-pen" type app .... so will this have a stylus or not? Or will it have some new screentype that lets you write with regular pencils?

yay, since S800 will have DTS support in hardware, I won't need a custom codec build anymore!! Bring it on Note 3!

I thought I have stopped bothering with specs after the awesome exynos Dual on the s2, but this S800 chip is just crazy not because of the crazy benchmark scores, but the features it has(quick charge 2.0 is gonna be mind blowing)

I'm sure of that. But let's see what the competition will bring. And with Samsung's share prices tanking rapidly, I think they will try something different.

Well, as with anything in this world, what goes up must come down, and you can't be No 1 forever.

That is very true, I just hope they are feeling a little pressured now and try to do something to stay on top. But rushing the note 3 release is definitely not one of them. The note 2 is such a flawless product with only very few issues which only happens to a very small subset of users. Seriously don't want to see all those issues affecting the S4 to be on the Note 3.

I wonder, if in 2 months' time, they can retool their production lines to cater for a slightly different design. May not be metal, but probably the heftier polycarbonate used by Nokia tongue.gif

Agree that Note 2 is almost flawless.

the only nice thing of that latest leaked pic is the ultra thin bezel. I love the s4 design, really. it might be a refinement to s3 one, but they really made it look much better imo. Hated the s3 design so much. The note 2 design is tolerable simply because it isn't so egg shaped. But a new material wouldn't hurt, albeit pretty impossible for the note 3. Even stereo front speakers is most probably not gonna make it =/

We will see both of these on the s5/note 4 almost for sure.

Guess rather than changing to wanam 3.8, Im just gonna clean up my internal SD, format everything, and reinstall the ancient wanam 3.0 i'm currently using tongue.gif

LOL ... I'm also thinking of wiping my phone again tonight and put in rooted stock, and this time make a REAAALLLY selective restore...my battery life went down the drain once I did a full restore from TiBU.

Well, if they don't have time to retool, probably they can give us a 4100mAh battery tongue.gif
