QUOTE(andrewtho @ Jun 20 2013, 06:36 PM) I realized that this thread is more technical-focused unlike the S4 thread, more casual and rojak talks there Technicality is not necessarily a bad thing though it can get very dry for those uninitiated. What is bad in a forum is people post for the sake of post count and top it off by posting irrelevantly. And when put in their place, make it worse by retaliating erroneously. |

QUOTE(d33pbluez @ Jun 21 2013, 10:30 AM) Nop, The leak probably from the lifting edge. i had try out the some experiment with water and force and below symptom seem legit as what MIME claim. Isn't that unacceptable? I would put that down as either a defective product or design fault since it isn't able to completely do what it is supposed to. Game on trying to make a claim? I would be. Who knows? You just might get a replacement set sent to you.1. Water was able to sip into the edge of the tempered glass screen protector. 2. Rub and hold one side of the edge, Notice another edge somehow lifted more. (How can i miss that) |

QUOTE(d33pbluez @ Jun 21 2013, 11:09 AM) Replacement is actually on the way. I did highlight to MIME support team if this is normal to have on their tempered glass screen protector and they admit it is the problem of lifting and honour the replacement. Oh, good for you and for them! Do report please whether the same issue arises.Good for you...Haiz~! had to wait for replacement for another week To used water testing, you need to use a cloth soak it with normal water then apply on the edge... normally if a glass lay flat or seal with no air bubble there wont be water flowing in...but unfortunately for mine, it easily flow in |

QUOTE(joytest @ Jun 22 2013, 10:38 AM) I think mikecmy is correct they have started capping at 30gb for "unlimited" coz I have heard several remarks from my friends as well. From what I was informed after enquiries and based on usage of my 'unlimited' plans, the definition of UNLIMITED has taken on a different meaning. Telcos are now imposing caps but will throttle the speed after whatever limit they have imposed on the so-called unlimited plans. This was done unilaterally and I was at one time toying with the idea of 'fighting' them. |

QUOTE(joytest @ Jun 22 2013, 12:19 PM) I think the same evolution of definition also occurred in the US which led to the practice of "grandfathering" I think though I'm not conversant with the details. For plans being signed up now, it's alright as we are informed of the conditions beforehand. But for those which were already in existence telcos cannot changed the terms at their whims. That's breach of contract. But because I am only a drop in the ocean it would be futile for me to fight those establishments in such a high hierarchy. |

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Jun 24 2013, 05:42 PM) 5.7 inch ? hope is true and follow s4 trend, screen taller than s3, the size is same as s3 I am not speaking for myself but those who are looking forward to the Note3. Such a slight size increment notwithstanding the specs will disappoint many especially when the trend for phablets nowadays is 6 inch and above.http://www.sammobile.com/2013/06/24/galaxy...-a-5-7-display/ and having mass production from August ? http://www.sammobile.com/2013/06/24/samsun...ii-from-august/ This post has been edited by PeeEl: Jun 24 2013, 07:03 PM |

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Jun 24 2013, 11:43 PM) yea that right From what I have been reading from the threads, most if not all awaiting the arrival of Note3 were saying that they hope it would be between 6 to 6.3 inches. Hence my statement.samsung don't know doing what recently give a stability fix depends person bah for me as long as can fit into my pocket, then its okay already for spec not really care about it |

Whilst there are tons of owners with casing on their phones there is also a very huge number without.
It like so many things depends on individuals in that how one takes care of his/her assets. I know of many who prefer to be naked and because of their demeanour nary have so much of a scratch sustained. Accidents do happen but are preventable albeit not all the time. QUOTE(sacremento @ Jun 29 2013, 08:24 PM) I have this problem before but it just went away after awhile. Yes, it is the Power Saving Mode that's causing this. Now only while browsing the status bar will hide itself all of a sudden. Force stop only it will go back to normal. Anyway I think power saving mode plays a role in the screen brightness. Could be that. The screen is dimmer while browsing if the power saving mode is on. |
