Your phone got constantly wifi / 3G off? I'm on full blast data & 3G on all the time. I think its great to have 5hrs with my current setting. Cause sometimes I did tethering as well.

Relay alot on the 3G data due to work nature. switching off radios by radios i mean wifi, gps, 3g then switch it back on Just wonder about the juice defender as read from the reviews it seems MANY claims it works. |

QUOTE(joytest @ Jul 5 2013, 12:11 AM) Wellllll everyone, thanks to all of you, this is still in the top 5 threads in the Android section. The front page still can be improved. The front page is not sorted in a system order. Its everywhere. So one need browse thru everything to find something. And it seems that other TS' have also started to emulate some features of this thread We should be getting v25 sometime tomorrow. By finishing v24, we have made approximately 60,000 posts for the Note 2. I sort my entire company system. I dont even need to see the page but I can tell you where to go and find what thats the perfect 1. Just my 2 cents |

QUOTE(fylon @ Jul 5 2013, 11:12 AM) I believe you did not understand the concept of battery savings..that is why there seems to be confusion here..what alexng2208 has been trying to tell u is that there are 3 ways to save a battery:1. via Radio control: which is using apps to control your data usage because battery is drain faster if mobile and wifi remained on standby even when u are not using it (screen is off). These apps (battery save etc) turns the radio off automatically when it detect your screen is off and turns it back on when it detects you have turned ur screen back on. 2. via Processing power control: which is achieve through UV (UnderVoltage) etc. As the name suggest, it limits the power usage of the processor. Its a try and error approach and it may cause your system to lag or worst not start at all due to insufficient power supply. However with enough guidance by fellow kungfu master here, a safe parameter can be adopted. 3. via Custom ROM: by removing the bloated TW apps that frankly you might not be using but keeps on putting your phone on standby due to its processing requirement. (Gtalk etc) to avoid any further confusion..please read the first page of this forum to be clearer..your phone is as smart as you are..it cud be smarter..but it depends on u.. do correct me if I am wrong..peace out! |

Thanks. Improvement suggestions always welcome. I sort my entire company system. I dont even need to see the page but I can tell you where to go and find what thats the perfect 1. Just my 2 cents In general, posts 3,4,5 relate to the device and operations, and 6,7,8 relate to advanced topics. The rest are, well, the rest, although 10,11 are still device related, while 12, 13 are general Android. Improvements to arrangement or subcategories will surely be considered. I have some problem too if on Data 24/7, battery can stand between 4-5hours only, so like what alex recommended, lower the CPU clock and do UV using custom roms,Just wonder about the juice defender as read from the reviews it seems MANY claims it works. |

You dun need custom rom to underclock or UV. A custom kernel that supports it will do.
