Question .... what kind of digitizer technology are they using ....... and how will they deal with the carbon dust......

have you flashed? any issue so far?..been puasa-ing from flashing for couple of months now..wonder if it is worth it to update..with mf2 issues and all..

wow ..that is a win except now I have to carry around a pencil instead of an attached digitizer..not too sure on the practicality tho..

Win in the sense you don't need spare hardware. However, carrying a pencil is a little tough hahahaa.

The real problem IMHO is the carbon dust that inevitably comes off the pencil point. I used to repair printers waaaaayyyy back and that's where I learned that paper dust can clog gears and so forth.

So now you will have CONDUCTIVE carbon dust to deal with. Unless you buy RM39.99 for a 6-pack of Sony branded non conductive pencils that will last you 1 week per pencil.

Looks like my ex windows mobile stylus n a few of my old ballpoint pen ( inkless) will probably be useful in this XZU. Glad I still keep these old stuffs

I suspect not, coz those items work with resistive screen technology and were non-conductive. This is some kind of hybrid tech which I have not yet read any news on. However, close inspection of the pic indicates that you need to overlay a piece of paper over the screen and use your pencil.......

I don't know how it will be, perhaps we will find out tomorrow night.

We'll find out soon enough tomorrow when they announce, and they will provide some kind of blurb on their digitizer technology.

Yikes..is the pic really authentic? Or probably they are portraying the concept of the phone which uses a stylus.
