For ultrabook or slim notebook (even normal notebook) they all apply non removable battery NOWadays .

For notebook that have maintenance cover just open it , if dun have u need to open the whole bottom part , unscrew it ,

However some laptop with visible screw and some with invisible [manufacturer hide the screws inside the bottom stand rubber] .

Upgrade RAM will not void the warranty for Y510p. Pls use the same spec of RAM for dual channel to improve performance. smile.gif

for WiDi to work, you need Intel HD.
Y500 definitely will not support WiDi since Intel HD4000 is turned off.
Y510p single GPU spec can run with HD4600 which support WiDi. But for WiDi to work, you also need Intel Wireless card. iinm, Y510p in Malaysia is not spec with Intel wireless card hmm.gif

•Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 1000, 1030, 2200, or 2230
•Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 2200 for Desktop
•Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6200, 6205, 6230, or 6235
•Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6205 for Desktop
•Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N + WiMAX 6150
•Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250
•Intel® Centrino® Ultimate-N 6300
•Intel® Dual Band Wireless-N 7260
•Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260
•Intel® Wireless-N 7260
•Broadcom* BCM43228
•Broadcom* BCM43241
•Broadcom* BCM4352

These are the wireless card that officially will work with WiDi.

If you are in Penang, you could get it from their authorized reseller in Komtar ICT, Ian Yong (011-12444067), PITH Computer.

Or from Hikaru85 in the forum who has a shop in B'worth.
