QUOTE(Unseen83 @ Jul 7 2013, 06:04 AM) hmm G750 HJ come better GPU... i think i should wait... oh where i go to put my G75vx on sale, on here? hehe.. if not you thought why i am still holding on getting a g750? however, this might be the lousiest g-series i have ever had. g75vx might be the last known good laptop model that allows better future upgradabilities (that might make it last for the next 3 years, for work purposes) |

QUOTE(Unseen83 @ Jul 8 2013, 07:43 AM) Cooling on my G75vx is Best of the BEST Asus G series can OFFER to the series imo used stock g75vx with age less than 6 months should be priced around MYR 4k; with customizations (ram, ssd, wifi, cpu) it should starts from 4.5k (well that depends on what you have upgraded). x yes.. i change new Gaming notebook every 9+ month... now i just realized my g55 has a after-market upgrades of at least MYR 5,000.00 (so plus the original price is about MYR 10k). so don't do it like me. it's stupid (i did it because i wanted to) say 'thanks but no thanks' for low ballers. |

QUOTE(tonberry_ax @ Jul 8 2013, 09:46 AM) I agree with that, ppl tends to be depreciate upgraded stuff, they always look at the original price. exactly, for the first part. Its like car for example, no matter how good ur mod (car paint re-spray, rims, spoiler & etc) they always look at the original car price and after the depreciation price, and give you that kind of "I dint ask you to upgrade" face. Get the fact? edit: But to think about consumer side, if your thing sell too exp, y they still wana buy your old rig? Y not jz buy the new laptop have newer spec & upgrade which ever thing they like. A lot of ppl luring at garage sales for a reason: To get the best deal in the market. The price for Unseen83 offer, i think is quite reasonable IMHO, cheers for the edited part, i do agree with the consumers hoping to get cheap deals. however, imo i think the seller should know the base line that they can afford to give to the buyer (i.e. set a reasonable base line for your item, you don't need to announce it publicly; anything lower than that just say no thank you). well that still depends on other factors, for instance, how desperate you need the cash. QUOTE(raymondtong94 @ Jul 8 2013, 11:10 AM) a nice deal you have there |

if you are like what you told us here that you change gaming laptops every 9 months +, i think that g750jx is a much better choice.
this entirely depends on your requirements and how you look at things. MYR 300 is nothing if you intended to upgrade your system within a year (upon purchase is much better). |

QUOTE(Liuteva @ Jul 9 2013, 10:35 AM) Seriously lowballers are everywhere la, if they the one who selling the laptop, u offer back them the same thing, they one cent also dont minus too. QUOTE(tonberry_ax @ Jul 9 2013, 03:29 PM) nothing happen to my bottom cover when i send in, maybe they accidentally broke it when disassemble the laptop. U know la, their service so damn good 1. that's epic :/it's a g55, not g75. a g55's back cover is not that susceptible to break compared to g75. QUOTE(holloway @ Jul 9 2013, 10:03 PM) put 1k.. then ask them to receive 2.9k punch.. call all friends to punch lowballers face~ hahaha...well must be some sacrifice mah for cheap stuff~ haha!QUOTE(Unseen83 @ Jul 10 2013, 04:56 AM) my gosh... i never thought you a violence person lol damn.. we have such grown-ups as parents, too :/ and they used their own children as an excuse for cheap deals?! see? materialism has dominated.if got children to feed, better save the money; don't waste time playing games too much; go out and earn more money and save it for own children. QUOTE(Unseen83 @ Jul 10 2013, 05:10 AM) guys check out what this person offer.... and price his offer to re-paste thermal cpu/gpu is just RM 50.... WHT other sifu think about this?? it's a fair price to me, if you're talking about ASUS g-series. it sure takes time and a lot of patience to do the stuff.x https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...entry61559957 This post has been edited by horns: Jul 10 2013, 08:39 AM |

QUOTE(Unseen83 @ Jul 10 2013, 08:49 AM) i know... G series take alot time to disassemble it ... so i am Scare for his asking charge just RM 50... low.. i pay 120 if he ask lols! ... but no reply... uh? no. the disassembly is easy. to those who are familiar with the laptop, thermal paste replacement and cleaning up fans/vents are just under 30 minutes. it's just tedious and needs a lot of patience. -- oh.. but i think MYR 50.00 is more than enough. QUOTE(tonberry_ax @ Jul 10 2013, 09:11 AM) that's why i ask you guys to learn to do that on your own. i have upgraded my wifi card to intel 7260 (under 15 minutes QUOTE(Unseen83 @ Jul 10 2013, 09:25 AM) No wonder G750JX they no longer got Screw the Service Area(HDD,RAM_ access) just simple clip push i think.. lol no, it has a single screw hidden under the cover. you need to pry that cover up first.QUOTE(dannygeni @ Jul 10 2013, 10:10 AM) if you are not planning to upgrade your cpu/gpu at all, yeah it's good enough (the cooling should be the best among gaming laptops). i suggest you get the g750jh that is to be released in august 2013.however, note that there are other options besides asus g750 (cheaper; easier to maintain on your own). take your time and look around. you might find what you REALLY NEED. |

QUOTE(Unseen83 @ Jul 10 2013, 11:31 AM) QUOTE(dannygeni @ Jul 10 2013, 11:32 AM) noob a bit. the harddisk slow right? speed at 5400rpm. did u upgrade it? like 128ssd to run windows and another hard disk for storage?.. yeah the stock hdd sucks and really drags the actual performance of the laptop down by a lot; but you can use it for storage. still, a better way to 'restore' the performance is: 1. keep the stock drive intact; don't touch it until you are comfortable with the new clean installs; 2. get a ssd for OS and apps/games, and a hdd for storage; 3. do a clean install on the ssd. we are lucky in Malaysia because we can have a very basic model QUOTE(holloway @ Jul 10 2013, 11:34 AM) haha.. can even disassemble twice while sitting at coffee house~ lol!.. yeah why not Asus rep does not recommend u to use SSD~ lol! |

QUOTE(tonberry_ax @ Jul 10 2013, 12:22 PM) Yala, wait u guide me when the laptop back mah~~ still in the middle of finding time to read reviews about .ac routers :/ Wow so powderful wo. U got buy .ac router or not? U gona spend another fortune for that lol... uh? fortune? it's about MYR 750+ only; from c-zone some more. QUOTE(Dude! @ Jul 10 2013, 12:32 PM) hye newbie to ssd, i confused with many model of ssd... from you experience, what is the best ssd for g55vw? in general, a decent ssd like hyperx is fine. my friend recommended for hyperx for common usage, plextor m5s 256gb and up already makes many very happy. however, i still suggest plextor m5pro extreme, and samsung 840 pro. they're a bit pricey but you will not regret it. QUOTE(tonberry_ax @ Jul 10 2013, 04:30 PM) oh.. but my idea is this: to have good experience, you must have good infrastructure that is relatively time-proof. you don't change infrastructure much; you only change end-point devices most of the times. routers happen to be infrastructure (well, only cutting edge technology are relatively time-proof; but the price is surely much higher :/). |
