Our board circuit design might have compatibility issues also hehe; and bios must be modded to use 770m vbios.

at this point of time, you have a number of decent ssd's to choose from. 256gb seems to be the sweet spot now. intel's are fine, too. |

QUOTE(tonberry_ax @ Jul 17 2013, 09:53 PM) For me gathering is where ppl come together to share their skill & knowledge, there's more things to learn when you can experience things live than jz reading online and watch youtube in your home. Plus it is the way to socialize with new people. That's what i thought, i been attending few meetup / gathering, I learn new things everytime and I do enjoy it. oh to learn stuff and meet people. no wonder you're so keen on this So, what is gathering mean to you? Is that to show off gadget? Really?? sorry i asked because i had bad experience before. it's sad that many like to show off and talk nonsenses (when there are girls, even if they're not pretty, this got worst). it's like they're the only ones who own stuff. it's kind of shallow and pathetic, and waste my precious free time for nothing. .. and maybe our number in malaysia is so small that asus malaysia decides not to bother us lol! QUOTE(holloway @ Jul 18 2013, 01:44 AM) not that i don't want to have a gathering.. but i myself is damn busy .. lol.. infact today 18 til 22 of july will not be in the country =.=".. i work during weekends.it's actually good to have gathering but i myself never arrange one (no experience at all) was thinking a gathering should be quite decent if we we're to bring our laptops along. but yeah it's never wrong to plan ahead |

QUOTE(tonberry_ax @ Jul 19 2013, 06:36 PM) - points: > same here; ugly; plastic feeling. + points: > maintenance is nice and easy to do. i have read that even if the cpu/ gpu looked like upgradable, you shall change the heat sink too. you might need to mod the bios to insert compatible vbios as well. |

QUOTE(tonberry_ax @ Jul 20 2013, 05:40 PM) Their spec is higher compare to the same price we r given in asus lol Yeah compared to g750, its apparently the better choice to pick msi in terms of upgrade options.I started dun like asus especially when the new G750 also dun have CPU/GPU upgrade option... haihz I checked out the jx model at lyp just now (finally found the demo unit). It has thunderbolt port, but the wifi card is not .ac wifi. Its like my g55's stock wifi, the single band atheros :/ I ordered .ac router dy. |

QUOTE(Unseen83 @ Jul 21 2013, 12:53 AM) what about heat/noise and Msi GT70 cpu/gpu throttle in stress test... yeah but heat and noise are built-in for machines with high-end gaming specs. sorry but i have to say g75/750 are not in this range, always. the key difference between asus g-series and other brand is cooling (if you must put them in the same group). to achieve that asus decides to cut performance down.x http://www.anandtech.com/show/7076/msi-gt7...-the-gtx-780m/6 there are a number of plus points if you compared them side-by-side. let's face it: these days, asus g-series is overpriced. yeah it's positioned to be at the mid range; however the price point is not at the mid range. as for the throttling part, from what i've read, that particular unit at anandtech.com might have issues (they said bad paste job?). the results from that test were actually different from those posted by other sites. to me, i am happy with mid-range machines with good cooling (i don't game much now; i just need cpu upgrades). but it's not for many of us here. |

QUOTE(aimanace94 @ Jul 22 2013, 11:18 PM) I use the default Intel Centrino Wireless N2230 . Seems that the driver is updated to the latest version before and after I encounter this problem . As I mentioned before , I didn't do anything ! since you updated your drivers, there was a chance that it's reset to defaults. first of all you should check in device manager that the wifi's power management is disabled (uncheck the option that allows computer to turn the device off to save power). then in power plan options, make sure it's at max performance. QUOTE(holloway @ Jul 23 2013, 02:34 AM) all laptops works without the need whether to mod or not~ lol no such thing as other gaming laptop have to assemble once u receive the item~ well that's as far as i know la. Coz never heard stories of laptop have to be assembled (from scratch) when we buy it.. not even HDD needs to be plugged in.. all out of box straight working wo .. how's the place? nice or not?p/s: just came back~ hello all~ lol |
