Dear Experts

Further reading, made me think of buying 8 inches, filtered
a) vido mini s (7.8inches) - RM450
b) vido n80rk - RM450
c) Ainol Novo Dream - RM435

Did i miss out any others model, seem like N80RK is the better choice. right?
thanks

Tested the Vido Mini One before, solid tablet build, performance also very good, but heard before some of our forumer here said before about the battery doesnt perform very well. The rest you figure it out yourself. laugh.gif

We got multitask feature on Nexus 7 in Custom Rom even supported more apps than the Samsung multiwindows feature. Unlock + Root + Flash = Unleash the Beast of Android.

Sorry, i really noob in gadgets. This custom rom thingy what is the disadvantage? void warranty? I am sure it does have some disadvantage.

Well, not really call it an disadvantage, you should look at the Good side and the Down side of the Custom Rom and conclude it yourself. Custom Rom have community support for update and more! Custom feature and unlimited potential.

As for the warranty part, of course will void if you send in with unlocked/root/custom rom devices, also depend on which manufacturer their policy. If anything really go wrong, and you require send to warranty purpose, just flash back to stock rom + unroot + lock it back, as simple as that.

So if you are user like freedom and customization, go for devices with community support like Nexus line product. Or you are just normal user that, "oh well, I dont care, I just take notes/watch youtube/browse facebook/surf internet casual use. Any device will suit you.

ic ic.. thanks i will look up more info on Custom Rom.

But currently let say everything by stock.

Considering the design and features,

Nexus 7 vs. S.Tab 3 8.0

which will you prefer?

S. Tab 3 8.0 - 3rd world's thinnest tablet after Xperia tab Z and ipad mini. Only 7.4 mm thick!

Try DirectD or SatuGadget (search in LYN), they're selling at RM699.

Anyways, if I were you, I'd just top up RM200 to get the latest Nexus 7 2013 wink.gif

Hi..

I'm looking for a 8" tablet from samsung between galaxy tab 3 8" and note 2 8" . Which one is better? I have a acer a500 currently and ipad but finding that android gives more flexibility. my acer sadly got no 3g. so can't use it to go online outside. my purpose is mainly for surfing, reading online materials, ebooks and utilize to take notes and some light games. battery lasting is important at least for a day. other brands recommendation are welcome. tq

Double check and see what is the power output of your wall charger.

some powerbanks have dual (1.0A / 2.1A) ports.

1. Brand. No specific choice, prefer something mainstream so that have lots of custom mod, roms, kernels etc.
2. Budget. Max RM700 be it new or good condition 2nd hand.
3. Specs. With data(3G or LTE), can perform the below functions without hang or lag.
4. What you need in the tablet. Teamviewer, iDisplay etc, websurfing, video watching, no emphasis on gaming.

Hi bro tongue.gif

For that budget, top up ~RM200 or so, then get the 2013 Nexus7. But if you need data, then you should get the older 2012 model that has 32GB + 3G.
