seems that quite many people buying tablet with WiFi only access. Care to share how useful/sufficient is WiFi only compared to needing to spend extra for the 3G/LTE version? Or is there any regret getting the WiFi only version?

Since I used my tablet mainly at home, the lack of 3G isnt too bad. besides, if I am outside with my tablet, I can still tether from my phone

QUOTE(fm_hyudin @ Oct 25 2013, 03:25 PM) Hi.. I'm looking for a 8" tablet from samsung between galaxy tab 3 8" and note 2 8" . Which one is better? I have a acer a500 currently and ipad but finding that android gives more flexibility. my acer sadly got no 3g. so can't use it to go online outside. my purpose is mainly for surfing, reading online materials, ebooks and utilize to take notes and some light games. battery lasting is important at least for a day. other brands recommendation are welcome. tq Note 8.0 also available.

1st thanks for the reply & it shows 2.0a. SO I presume I should buy powerbanks that support 2.0a output? QUOTE(ericmaxman @ Nov 8 2013, 08:22 AM) Double check and see what is the power output of your wall charger. some powerbanks have dual (1.0A / 2.1A) ports.

Bought a Ainol Numy 3G AX1 MTK8389 on 19/10/2013 and less than a month later the usb port broke and became detached from the motherboard of the tablet. Hence, I couldn't charge the unit.
Took it to ainol dealer in Penang (HDE World Sdn. Bhd.) on 9/11/2013 and was told that due to physical damage, I cannot claim warranty on the product. WTF, this is certainly NOT FAIR as the usb port became loose after only about 21 days after I bought it. In fact I had trouble charging it just after a week after I purchased the unit. The usb port was definitely not strongly attached to the motherboard and thus I believed it to be hardware defect. Your dealer at HDE World Sdn. Bhd. (Mr. Tan) kept saying that it was physical damage and that I cannot claim warranty on the unit. Lesson learned. Ainol tablets cheap but lousy quality and bad service.
