QUOTE(billy_overheat @ Jul 30 2013, 02:52 PM) Exactly what I wanted to say. But, people are chasing blindly on the spec. Don't we know that, the software matters? I agree with the fact that software matters, its just that tablets seem to be lagging behind when it comes to specs. I mean you would think that being a bigger screen device compared to phones, manufacturers would put high resolutions and better procs in these first. Instead we're seeing 1080p on 4.7 inch screens when 720p is already more than good enough |

I tried the Ainol Firewire with 10.1" 2048x1536, Allwinner A31 Quad Core today and it wasn't a smooth experience
Here are the specs: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Will find time to search for the Cube U30GT2: Rockchip 3188 Quad Core, 1920x1200 10.1" IPS display |

I've got a few China tablets.. From my first Ainol Aurora, to my Vido N80RK, to my Ainol Fire, Vido Mini One, Via WM8880 tablet... Looking forward to try this: http://www.lelong.com.my/cube-u30gt2-rk318...3-07-Sale-P.htm Do you have any experience owning China tablets? How about warranty support and maybe software updates? Warranty, touch wood. Claiming warranty for china tablets can be a pain in the arse, as the tablet may need to be shipped back to china for repairs. Software update, depends on model. The Vido Mini One has active software updates till 4.2.2, but my N80RK stops at 4.1.1. Have to rely on custom ROM for the mean time. |

S4 pro is seriously good enough for Android, for these 2 years at least. with TRIM support in 4.3 now, plus rumours saying that 5.0 will be even tweaked for better support in not so good devices.
http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/07/29/go...vice-slowdowns/ And the one in new n7, Krait 300 and LPDDR3 ram, proved to be underclocked s600, not good enough? Cores don't mean that your device will be faster, greater. Psshh, look at big.LITTLE. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/40039-...snapdragon-600/ Look at nexus 10, dual core, a15 architecture, it flies. |

Yep, exactly, "for these 2 years". But I'm looking for the best proc in hopes to go beyond these 2 years. I don't intend to buy new tablet every 1 or 2 years.http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/07/29/go...vice-slowdowns/ And the one in new n7, Krait 300 and LPDDR3 ram, proved to be underclocked s600, not good enough? Nobody say new n7 not good enough..I was just asking if there was any better ones in the market currently.. Also didn't mention about more cores=better.. Anyway thanks for your opinion.. |

QUOTE(Tainted @ Jul 30 2013, 08:50 PM) How are branded ones as compared to china tablets? Most of the tablets are made in China, including Motorola, Samsung and ASUS. Honestly, dont really have much confidence in china tab. Anyway, how much is the memopad hd7? Read some reviews saying that its lags a bit. From this link, price starts at RM499. |
