I think either one will, do they offer the same period of warranty? Just bargain for the cheapest price if you don't need any freebies from them.

budget 500 + 1k (cheaper better )
brand : not china brand
screen : 7" -10" (preferably 7 or 8)
os : jellybean (I'm not fond of rooting,etc..)
must have : 3g, gps, decent camera
usage : note taking, messaging,e-mailing,googling,reading,some gaming. (student's stuff)

my search shows asus fonepad 7 (the single sim model) seems to be a nice tab.. but then, need some other suggestions~

if u don't need the make calls using a tablet, then memopad hd 7 or 8 is a good budget choice, or even Nexus 7 1st Gen, otherwise 2nd Gen Nexus 7 if u have extra budget.

Can consider lenovo a1000 or a3000 only rm 6xx

all asus model can get within ur budget except the asus memo fhd

hello can reccomend tab for my parent. been looking for samsung tab but there are so many type that make me headhache.

1. Brand: samsung. or any better brand?
2. Budget: 900-1100
3. Specs.: as long as it didnt lag. camera just biasa2.. standard 5mp is enough. screen size 7 inch above. need 3g as well as cant rely on wifi 100 percent.
4. What you need in the tablet: i think they need to use it for surfing,watsapp,utube,email,mayb some lite game.

correct me if I'm wrong but you can't use whatsapp on a tablet that can't make call no?
well even with the work-around using apk you still need to register using a mobile number that isn't already using whatsapp on another device.

WhatsApp on Tablet without SIMCard = No
WhatsApp on Tablet with SIMCard = Yes
WhatsApp with same number on both phone or tablet = No
WhatsApp with different number on both/same phone or tablet = Yes (root require to do that)

Mediapad X1 I would consider it as phablet than just tablet. You could try check out on coolpad halo 9976a, powered by mtk6592 octa core, 2gb ram, 8gb rom, 7 inch fhd ltps corning gorrila 3, 13mp & 5mp combo camera, 4000 mah battery. Slim design as well with size 185mm ×104mm ×7.6mm. Should be able to get 1 around 350 usd included shipping.

I bought my Fonepad 7 already, the 16 GB version. Price given here as reference to others who are interested in this phablet as well, I bought it for RM 678.

Ok going to rant a little bit, I bought it from Satu Gadget Dot Com, they were quite fast in dealing and posting. But a bit unhappy they didn't gave me the free gifts they promised and more importantly they sold me the screen protector for Asus Memo Pad HD 7. I asked if they had screen protector, they say they have it but they didn't tell me it was for Memo Pad HD 7. It can cover the whole screen but it is quite big, so it touches the rough surface at both edge of the Fonepad 7. The screen protector can't stick there properly since that part is not smooth.

Buy new 1 lo..
