this proton marketing people really misleading la. their websites also misleading, brochure also misleading. like wrong car pictures, look at proton saga sv, they put saga exec model.. but people get unpainted side mirror on sv and also no fog lamp. not to say their spec sheet also inaccurate. compared to other car makers' website which can be a very reliable source

10% price lowered is attractive but....
make sure they don't remove other gadgets that u did not see. 1 case l came accross nazaria = rm105,000 economy nazaria = rm 65,000 on catalog the difference 1. sun roof 2. leather seat 3. abs 4. sport rims these items don,t cost rm40,000 right important items they don,t mention 1. suspension system 2. all 4 engine sensors eg. intake,out,autogearbox.... results rough engine, low lifespan autogearbox, poor braking, mpv woober >100kmh -------------------------------------------------- for those who had not place order on SV, pls check carefully do not trust the car saleman by their words l do own a BLM 08... so far so good good luck |

1 question for the DIYer on strengthening saga
anyone replace the soft metal bar at the front bumper? [located behind front bumper] l do find it is very soft, see, l had a small accident before when l knocked into a car's back the front end curved in . the front damage include radiator, aircond etc if the bar is more solid, then the unneccesory damages are reduced. act like a kangaroo bar but hidden inside.... |

QUOTE(goohtj @ Jun 16 2013, 01:09 AM) 1 question for the DIYer on strengthening saga You can weld a metal beam on that part if you fancy, but beware that during a collision the force will still have to go somewhere and potentially damage the other parts of the chassis that will end up more expensive to fix.anyone replace the soft metal bar at the front bumper? [located behind front bumper] l do find it is very soft, see, l had a small accident before when l knocked into a car's back the front end curved in . the front damage include radiator, aircond etc if the bar is more solid, then the unneccesory damages are reduced. act like a kangaroo bar but hidden inside.... In short, that part is design to crumple to absorb the force and prevent further damage to the rest of the chassis. I say just let it do its job. |
