Last time my 1.6l Gaga best record was 6.5l/100km , mostly 90km/h.....close enuff  brows.gif

Popiah best record 5.4l/100km, same conditions  whistling.gif
*
i'm able to get 6l/100km once when travelling long distance using trunk road, speed probably 75-80kmh average

btw, my last engine oil was liquimoly 10w30, now i changed to eneos 10w40 molybdenum. reason was cheaper 120 vs 95
this morning short high speed test on hway, i already regret it, liquimoly was much more quieter and more umph..

super value. so it's basically like the early saga blm basic, only that this one have better safety
so flx+ already on sale since april/may? no new flx+ owner here?

so proton didn't actually reduce price, but also reduce feature sweat.gif

is this is what government call reduce car price?!!

the front features a new bumper beam and additional reinforcement, while the rear bumper gets packed with foam.

Also on, a reinforcement “V” bar in the rear bulkhead that separates the boot from the cabin. The front door also features side impact reinforcement bars, while the centre pillar has also been strengthened. All these safety improvements have been implemented across the entire Saga FLX range, with some being quietly introduced some months back.

glad if someone can check this on their new flx+(flx with centre 3 point rear seatbelt). the 'V' bar in place of 3max bar is it?

this proton marketing people really misleading la. their websites also misleading, brochure also misleading. like wrong car pictures, look at proton saga sv, they put saga exec model.. but people get unpainted side mirror on sv and also no fog lamp. not to say their spec sheet also inaccurate. compared to other car makers' website which can be a very reliable source

The deceleration whine should be the CVT?  hmm.gif

Normal tappet sound is very rapid , semi-soft taktaktaktaktaktak. If you hear the tak tak tak is very slow then it is something else dy.

Do you hear it AFTER switching off the engine or while the engine is running?
*
sweat.gif that's true, i'll try driving with all windows up, it probably bcoz i nvr heard it for so long already.

i think rapid taktaktak.. i'll check 2moro. heard it while engine still running.

actually this few days been driving windows down jz to hear my brake disc if got any sound or not after skimming, also my 1st time doing high speed with driver's window slightly down

and i usually off the engine 1st before getting out of car, but last week i check engine bay while running the engine so obviously not as what u heard inside the car

Hi all,

currently deciding between 1.3 exec and 1.6 flx se, both cvt version.
I have read that saga cvt got overheat prob and 1.6 got atf cooler to solve that, so does that mean that only 1.3 exec variant will have this kind of problem?
*
1.3 also have extra cooler for cvt

Went to see the "new" Saga SV, checking out the rear V-bar briefly and the 3-point middle safety belt, really wondering if the stuff can be bought from Proton Parts Centre to be retrofitted into our older batch of Saga(s).

Seems like the V-bar is bolted on only with existing holes(but I can't compare as my Saga isn't with me at the moment). Although, of course, it it costs too much, just get the 3Max bar la.. laugh.gif
*
QUOTE(dares @ Jun 18 2013, 12:25 PM)
Deng...no fight la FI RWDs vs Saga. What cars did you drive?

The V-bar, if we can ask Proton to retrofit, I don't think would be cheaper than a 3max bar. Furthermore it does nothing for the handling so it leads me to believe it is not as strong either. I'm more interested in the 3-point middle seatbelt  hmm.gif
*
mat79's on 3 points middle seatbelts

QUOTE(mat79 @ Jun 17 2013, 11:57 AM)
yup,but many things to accomodate it,start with the backboard.

but its good to knw somebdy asking which means u r wearing urs backseat belt when sitting behind.

the v shape bar isnt for improve hbndling, neither strengthen the chasis, but for luggage instrussion strength which under unece homogolation. thats why its not thick.

not under rear crash regulation at all.
*
i think hell a lot to change, coz i think is the speakerboard strong enough to hold a person if accident happens

as for rear seat brace, i'll go for 3max, alang2 fit a nice one terus.
also thinking later add on rear lower brace. is it good for torsion beam fwd?

QUOTE(Mahihi @ Jun 18 2013, 02:30 PM)
juz came back from installing the stiff ring,i am seriously amazed with it,when braking will feel more confident...ride harshness reduced...n yes, steering vibration reduced alot,n another one is engine sound seems reduced as well, this is the part i dun und, engine sound reduced = my sound system sound nicer,lol...to add on,now in the cabin can oni hear exhauat tone,lol...
*
tempting drool.gif jz find out simple balancing & alignment can do to improve handling -> more confident on corners
but also feels the tire will give up sooner or later

QUOTE(dares @ Jun 18 2013, 02:30 PM)
It's not bolted on the speakerboard only gua, if yes then can kasi buang dy. I suspect it is bolted on the chassis frame under the speaker board as well. Need to see it to confirm.

rear lower brace bar won't affect torsion beam. Only the rear anti roll bar will.
*
so does the rear lower brace useful for saga?

QUOTE(mat79 @ Jun 18 2013, 02:44 PM)
of course not bolted only on speaker board, the 3 point is bolted on the car chasis. with its mechanism. but the point is ready.but it tedious.

Sure it has it's uses, mainly to reduce chassis flexing on the mounting points of the trailing arms.

but it boils down to what you expect out of it. you can ask v12kompressor or davidke20 what are the improvements.
*
i always use the road uphill and downhill to shah alam stadium from the roundbout before tesco from persiaran kayangan/concorde hotel shah alam. love the corner just before the downhill and speed all the way to roundbout and also another left corner before traffic light near the tesco xtra and msu

i corner until rear tayar screaming also the rear part hardly rolls. lol

Anyone had experienced with sending their car for timing belt service at Puchong Proton-Edar SC? I heard proton SC like to 'encourage' us to buy add ons after add ons and offer bad service doh.gif
*
encourage as in 'promoting' some products? that's normal, but u can always choose not to buy it icon_rolleyes.gif
service quality depends on SC, some are good too
