Just wondering. If i decrease the weight of the car. Will the cvt engine run at lower rpm when cruising?
*
No. Cruising RPM is fixed in the TCU software.

The only way to change it is to reflash your TCU with different settings.

I see. Well at least it does help in acceleration right? Like same accelerate rate at lower rpm with lighter body compare to higher rpm with heavy body.
*
The car already cruises at only 2.5k RPM at 100 km/h....about the same as a Waja. How much lower you want sweat.gif

Anyway, the beauty of CVT is you can access the top end whenever you need without respect to speed, so I won't worry about meeting torque demands when overtaking while cruising.

yes i know saga is bad in term of fc. but i just want to know how bad it is compared to viva. just want to make a reference. thanks btw. not suitable thread i guess.
*
Viva 1.0 can do about 14-15km/l mixed urban and highways. FLX CVT 1.3 can do around 11-12km/l. FLX 1.6 does about the same, slightly lower.

It's not really that bad if you know how to tame the CVT. But don't compare to Vios lah.
