What cooling system are you using?
Temperature considered low for the VID you're running at.

QUOTE(llaw @ Dec 18 2015, 07:44 AM) 560+280 hwlabs GTX nemesis push config...Totally justified the 1.3k.. ( had some tax to pay) price.. best rads i ever used. cpu temps actually lower by 10-15C.. its just that heatdump from the gpu into the water since luxmark is running. You guys are way too hardcore for me, water coolers etc...
Not seen anyone oc G3258 & H81 here? Budget OC here? Any one experience with simple stock Overclocking? Intel Pentium G3258 has a stock HSF - copper/aluminum heat sink 95W TDP the same as stock i5/i7/Xeon Asrock H81M-VG4 (cheapest H81 mobo, that support G3258) I just want to overclock using stock HSF and stock voltage maybe increase very slightly eg 1.2v. I be happy if i get from 3.2ghz to 3.8-4ghz in malaysia weather? any more is a bonus Asrock H81M-VG4 said support G3258, i assume it can able to change multiplier and voltage? not doing to do anything more complicated then that. QUOTE(drunkonpiss @ May 27 2016, 10:45 PM) For starters, non-K SKU like the 4670 is not meant for overclocking and it has a locked multiplier. You can only set the CPU frequency up to the Turbo Boost speed, in your case it's 3.8GHz maximum. |

Hello All sifus here. I'm thinking to oc my g3258 but i read that it could cause my windows 7 or 10 to crash due to some updates. Any of the g3258 users have same experience? Any advice on overcoming it if u do face the same problem?

No problem. |

guys just asking some idea. on the vcore to set.
would it be okay to get the vcore by using this calcullation. non oc cpu @ full load vcore / non oc MHZ multiplier = X then X times the number of MHZ/Multiplier = X amount of VCORE to set sample i54670k @ 3.4GHZ non oc full load vcore @ 1.128 tested using aida stress test 1.128 / 34 = 0.03317647 then say your target is 4.5GHZ just times 0.03317647 times 45 vcore = 1.4929 does this make any sense ? |

this is years too late & lousy attempt, but still a personal record @ ram (albeit very loose timings). nothing much can be done on cpu part as setup was hosted in slim case & d chip is cooled by lp cooler...
uncore freq is stock too... hope for better results ahead. this is d max i can squeeze outta it, any higher need to put d chip under knife already... This post has been edited by ah_khoo: Mar 7 2017, 06:46 AM |
