im newbie...anyone can give me guide to oced at msi m power mobo using 16gb 2800mhz ram? really dunno how to set it at bios

I don't think if anyone will have the same specs as your rig so can't really give a good guide for overclocking.

Just wondering , is it really a must to have a 3rd party cooler if just to overclock the haswell 4670k to somewhere 4.0Ghz ? or just turbo boost to 3.8ghz ?

Can a stock cooler satisfied the temp at 4.0Ghz ?

At least didn't cross over 100C with full load...it's OK.

I am pretty sure the game emu doesn't utilize all 4 cores.Never mind , I'll decide again since it's just extra 140 for CM HYPER 212X .
Btw , does anyone use GIGABYTE Z87-D3HP INTEL Z87 S1150 motherboard ? possible to OC well to 4.0Ghz ? only cpu oc not ram.

A stable board ? does CM HYPER 212X it fit on Z87-D3HP ?

I think,should suit,
just depend of your RAM...how tall is it.......(or use distant slots from CPU socket).
For 4GHz should be also no problem,on first post Owi posted "Gigabyte Haswell/ Z87 OC Guide",
so just follows this guide (even there is setting for 4.4-4.6GHz oc).

been doing some haswell setups for few friends and clocking their cpu solid.

few procs were 4ghz 1.15v. for that cm hyper cant handle that

hypers i think shld be good for 1.05v Linpack 11, 1.1v linx, 1.2v prime
best aircoolers/h110 sld do same thing 0.05v more
decent wc gear ddc dual rad or thin triple rad with decent cpu cooler another 0.05v
best wc gear with good thermal paste another 0.05v again.

i would like to ask, is it i got bad processor
i got i7 4770k with maximux vi hero with noctua NH-U14S with pull configuration (fan out of stock for push pull)
I can only kick 4.5Ghz with 1.275v and the temp pretty high around 93c on third core. Is is i got bad processor?

Linus on youtube said he can hit 4.6Ghz with only 1.2v wtf!

because now Im using intel burn test, i can hit 4.5Ghz (1.255v) with max temperature 78c
But when im using prime95 it hit 93c.
