Guys, newbie here,is it normal if the 4790K reach 70+°C for normal gaming(COD Ghost) and doing the windows rating? Never reach more than 65°C before using 4790.

L4 is OK.
Which mobo? You should run 4.6GHz at 1.200V. Post some pic.... Edit: Update to latest BIOS. This post has been edited by stasio: Jul 3 2014, 05:55 PM |

QUOTE(stasio @ Jul 3 2014, 05:04 PM) Are you on stock....CPU voltage on Auto? dude u were lucky. out of 5 cpu's 2 were 3's and 3 were L4's. best was 4.5ghz 1.2v stable. Try to manual set Vcore...lower then CPU-Z reading. Edit: With my stock voltage (on Auto), manual set same voltage.... I can run stable CPU multi x46. was about to upload some benchies of 4.5ghz vs 4.8ghz. ( since previous 4770k most ppl were on 4.5) .. img hosting site i use now suddenly on maintence. interesting.. the 4790k. voltage and temperature wise i would say marginally better but on multiscaling its like intel did something to make the cpu scaling more "free" and all the voltage, vccin are very stable with almost 0 flux on load. The good 4770k inherited this trait and the worse ones were like a yo-yo. 3d result. Rog team did it again. New bios a lot of improvement on scores. 4.5ghz@1.2v » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « vs 4.8ghz@1.35v » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « CPUZ Validation and Cinebench R15 » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by cstkl1: Jul 4 2014, 10:59 AM |
