Why the majority 4790k reviews that i read all praise on the 'new' TIM but in fact it only cool down to 4-6'C when head to head comparison (same clock and voltage)? They self satisfy or what? In fact a delid 4770k can give 10-20'C improvement? They tends to forgot the solder is much better than that.

For some of us, every degree is still an improvement, better than nothing. Maybe at 4.5GHz previously they couldn't get the 4770K to run stable below Tjmax but now it is possible with the 4790K. So they were just satisfied at 4.5 OC. Somehow I must agree with you that soldered TIM is much better than the TIM found on Haswell and DC CPUs. Cost-cutting, time saving or whatever that we don't know. DC is not a perfect chip. For greedy me, I aim for 5.0GHz figure for 24/7. I feel bad with the number 4 lol. Looks like I am going to be disappointed by this DC OC. mem OC on DC is slightly better than Haswell by 100-200MHz.

The G3258 is a good CPU for its price. It has an excellent overclocking ability.
However its dual cores will bottleneck multi-threaded apps and games.
It's aimed at those who want to build an affordable HTPC, document typing, torrenting, net surfing, etc.
