Sounds like sds. What Rom version were you using? It's good that you know brick your download screen so the service center cannot see you were rooted
Romow theme all along needs donation. For me it's fine cos theming takes time. I have lost count on the number of paid theme I have bought for aosp Rom.

I think it was 4.1.1 becauseI never updated it. Yes I read about sudden death syndrome for Note 2. Apparently, there is no way to resolve this besides sending it over to Samsung Service Center.

The Service Center along Federal Highway, anyone knows their business hours?

Yeah I probably need a "Devs" section now.

Oh cool more useful stuff, thanks. And yes you might as well add another section though I doubt there are many who are actually interested to read those haha.

Yes, you seem to be the only Android dev I've seen so far in Note 2 thread. There is another guy but he is with his XZ, and another fellow called AstonCheah who's probably in on all these things already.

Well, at least we have an Android Dev !!!!! Keep it up. I'll post bits that interest you when I come across it.

Yeap, good memory but my husband is not the technical type. Meanwhile, I hang around with a bunch of IT support, so I know more than he does (not by a lot though).

Yeah 4.1.1 is not protected. I heard the one along federal highway have a long queue as it is also a service center for all other Samsung appliances. I think there is one in amcorp mall of you want to go to that area.

Devil kernel's dual boot reminds me of my S2/S3 days on Siyah.

How's Devil kernel's battery life as compared to perseus on stock based (specifically Wanamlite) ROMs?

Slightly OT, but device nonetheless:

http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/16/meitukiss-phone-china/

Today we have a message for Oppo, Zopo, Vivo and Spice: 5-megapixel front-facing cameras are so yesterday for phones. Launched by Meitu, the developer behind the popular Chinese camera app Meitu Xiuxiu, the MeituKiss phone challenges the aforementioned brands with not one but two 8-megapixel f/2.2 cameras -- one on each side of the phone. The company makes it rather obvious that this Android 4.2 device -- available in pink or white -- is solely targeted at ladies, who in the Far East have a habit of taking self-portrait shots on the regular. So naturally, the MeituKiss does face beautification as well.

===============

So, this means that those pouty-lipped, puffy cheeked self portraits seem to be only done by Oriental chicks....... hmm.gif come to think of it, haven;t seen white chicks doing the same.... they usually do full body portraits whistling.gif laugh.gif

Sadly even LTE has got so many variations. IIRC, Qualcomm was the one that had some all-in-one LTE modem catering for all bands. Or was it Samsung's Exynos??? Bad memory....

Devil dual boot is based on siyah so its similar in implementation. Battery life for me is acceptable. Best you try it out yourself.

Even Nokia is losing out to Samsung in Finland !!!

.........
It seems that nobody is safe from the rise of Samsung, and it’s certain that Nokia has a lot of work to do if it wants to regain its former glory. Perhaps it's time to abandon ship and ditch Windows Phone.
