I would wonder if they would ever hit 5" or greater?
*
I don't think their "Retina Display technology" on the phone able to support on 5 inches and that's why they're sticking to 4.x inches. That's what i assumed. Also, the New MAC retina display also got all kinds of problems.

hmm.gif  That means you can also install stuff you want .... I can imagine the possibilities .. whistling.gif

However it will be a complex data stream, with lots of error checking built in. SHA-409600 ?
*
of course, there will be tons of risks that developers need to conquer before releasing it to the public as it messes around with your body, neural systems, and whatnot. security also another issue.

This morning, I woke up and saw my Note 2 screen stuck at the boot screen showing Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7100. It will not load pass this screen for no reasons.

I have rooted the phone but it is still using stock ROM. All this was done more than 6 months ago so not sure why it died only today.

I tried to install Kies and do an emergency restore, it will not work.

I tried with Odin 3.07 to install the latest firmware for N7100 for Maxis downloaded from http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-N7100 (the first XME stands for Malaysia) for ROM on 27 March 2013.

I got an error message:
Can't open the serial(COM) port <-- this was fixed by installing the driver that came together with Kies

Then, I got this error:
Complete(Write) operation failed.<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
I tried to work around this by changing other USB ports but somehow, my phone just stop booting. Now, it will not even get to the boot screen ,everything is black, no download screen, nothing.

Did it bricked when nothing happen?
*
Sounds like sds. What Rom version were you using? It's good that you know brick your download screen so the service center cannot see you were rooted

So as antt00 has said, a small donation is fine right. Likely cheaper than a bowl of noodles at some office food court.

Well there is a difference. Once we change device it becomes obsolete. tongue.gif. But aosp theme as long as the themer is still active we can continue to use it. Some of my themes are from cm7 almost 2 years back. The themer is still active and continue to up grade his theme to support cm10.1.

So this means ROMOW's stuff is device specific because he is changing various system APKs?

Sorry for asking coz I am totally not into theming and stuff like that.

Yes it's specific for note 2 4.1.2. as it changes the apk or part of the apk.

Cm have its own theme engine that allows for universal theming across all devices as long as the screen resolution is correct.

I don't think that it just carry one frequency band, if not then i should wait for Galaxy Mega 6.3 inch, this model do have LTE too.
