I think you will need to verify what they mean by tap. Does it involve any cutting or just detach a socket and add in the D1 socket in between those brake lines. Getting to know how it is installed will help.

Ya. If the installation is reversible, no harm tapping. Don't install the auto cruise without the brake. Just in case the D1 failed when you are auto cruising, you still have back up. That is why 2.0 has brake cancel and button cancel on steering.

After 2 month searching for secandhand kia forte (cannot afford for new) finally yesterday manage to find 1 kia forte SX 6 speed 2011 . Already agree with the price & put deposit on it. Now just waiting for the loan process. Hopefully i can own this car coz i really2 admire it

SUPER BAD experience with AZ Motor Seri Kembangan Service Center.
!!! the WORST service center and staff !!!!!

Bought a new Forte 2.0 from Kia AZ Motor Seri Kembangan in early 2013. Good experience with Mr.Edwin Loh. Fast approval and helpful SA.
However, since the day-1 i got my car, i noticed there is abnormal wind blowing noise on my front passenger door (when my speed is above 90km/j ) without door visor.

I went back to Kia AZ Motor Seri Kembangan for service during first 1000km, the mechanics claimed cannot detect the noise.

However, the noise still persistent and getting louder, anyone who sit in my car also noticed it. People keep asking me " why your brand new car got such a loud wind noise ?? "

Yesterday i went back to Kia AZ Motor Seri Kembangan requested to check for the abnormal wind noise sound again 1. After waited, the mechanic told me there was no wind noise. I insisted to test drive together with him again.

After second test drive with the mechanic, finally he noticed the noise and agreed that it is abnormal. He tried his best to detect the source of the noise and repaired it for me, however he failed to do so.

After waited for 4 hours, the lady at service counter (Named ?? Syasya) told me that it is a normal wind noise, nothing abnormal, nothing need to be repaired. I tried argue with this lady, told her that the mechanic also noticed the abnormal noise. This lady who does not sit in my car or involve in the repair of my car has now became the person explained to me and insisted my car is normal.

i feel totally hopeless and helpless. I am so disappointed with the service at AZ Motor (which i thought should be one of the Best). I chose to buy my car there (130km away from my house) because it is highly recommended at this forum. But turn out, ??? Just because they cannot fix it, they denied there is a problem

Many of us bought our lovely Forte at Seri Kembangan AZ Motor and service there, so just to share with you what has happened to me.
i will NEVER go to AZ Motor Seri Kembangan for Service !!!!
i will not let mechanic with such attitude to touch my car, do not want to risk my life driving a car serviced by such people.

Chill bro. You can always opt for another SC. Try going other SC and do homework before hand. If I am not mistaken, some of the seniors fixed this issue by changing the whole side mirror assembly.

Complain them kao kao. Forum recommended to buy from AZ, but I cannot recall anyone saying that we are getting superb service from their SC. So lets see what Edwin and KS has to say in this.

Bit bit sure have la. Depends on your tolerance. Mine come once in a while when there is cross wind. Most of my noise is tyre noise.

Maybe I should go to Glenmarie instead of Kinrara. Not to say Kinrara is no good. Just want to try out different one. Maybe they can also fix my front seat rattling once and for all.

no need 90 km/h, mine 80km/h already got, if reach 140km/h then is like aeroplane taking off liao

Agree. But I somehow can differentiate wind noise and tyre noise after sitting in Forte with good tyre. When I first get my car, the wind noise is like you did not close your window properly. I then did the undercarriage foam and boot treatment. Wind noise comes from bottom of engine and window. So I took off the visor and that wind noise from that portion is gone. Wind noise coming from bottom of engine is still there. I put on the undercarriage plate and the wind noise from there reduced. So I guess for now, I am still satisfied. Tyre noise is really roaring.

Maybe need to bring the car to tyre shop to see what are my options. Self poison abit.

same price as new proton preve cfe with RM5800 discount . Actually my first choice are forte but i notice that it is very difficult to find the secandhand car especially for the 6 speed model. so from my point of view, if this car are really difficult to find (secandhand) its show that this car are reliable.
