I sometime wonder if there are significant difference between Inspiron and Vostro unit. I do a lot of work outside which requires me to bring laptop. Need it to boot up fast and furious, while still able to use it for entertainment like web surfing/youtube in situation where I go travelling.

It seems like Dell focus more on the design, slim, light and portability but they ignore the performance of the laptop. Lots of complain on its WIFI telling that it only cover short range and the signal detection is very weak. |

I thought Vostro line was sort of for business people (build tough for travel) while Inspiron would be for students/home use. If given choice I go for Vostro, but I just keep hearing issues with the Vostro so I am hesitate to purchase one at the moment, especially since it still on 3rd gen iCore processor. |

I can see they are clearing their old stock right now in Dell website. Most of it comes with free gift bundle such as ext. dvd writer, Touch N Go, bagpack and even cash discount. just wait until they release all Hasswell model. its worth to wait |

Whole process about 45 mins to get win running but drivers not download yetQUOTE(suadrif @ Aug 27 2013, 06:56 PM) few forumers reported that the sound is just ok, not so bad and not so good Yes sound is ok.. Won't move the earth but usable, it even has some kind of subwoofer at the bottombut if u insist for nice speaker, toshiba is a better option The wifi definitely weak. |
