QUOTE(noobandroid @ Aug 29 2013, 10:37 PM) etymotic is seriously clinical, it will disect music like mad, not for the entertainment kind BA driver housing are typically like that de lu~ those tip u describe is called single flange, double or triple flanges give better secure fit and also better sound containment, i use double flanges on my RE400 how does RE400 compare HEaven 4? no idea the UM u seen is a unmoulded CIEM, they only give around 80% of actual SQ Have you tried the Etymotics HF5? Is it comparable to RE400? Yes those tips, I prefer single flange though, the double ones I used on the Monster Turbine was seriously loosed, it keeps for falling and not stay tight, but for any headphones, I believe they can be used with only single flame tips right? Like the Etymotics kind?

QUOTE(noobandroid @ Aug 29 2013, 10:26 PM) RE400 aint anything high end, and miracle is one which is mid-high end, the odd looking shape is because it is catered to your own ear canals IMO give RE400 or RE600 a chance, they are worth the wallet break, in fact, I use RE400 more than Miracle Lol how is miracle mid high end? I still consider it high end as its UM's flagship as JH13 is with JHAudio and etc

To me 6 drivers are closer to reference and balance while 8 drivers are more for those who prefer bass emphasis while maintaining details in the mids and highs. If that's the case then most of FADs stuff would be considered low end as well since they only employ 1 driver

Reviews are very promising and there's a meet for demo-ing next week. I do suggest people to try the gear before buying, especially those new to IEMs and don't know what they are looking for in a pair.

Hi guys, I have a problem here. I use my earphone regularly (like more than 5 hours a day), and in quite rough condition too (like in my pocket, plug in and out ~10 times per day etc). My current fav is Philips SHE3850. I listen to podcast and rarely music. Im currently chew through one earbud every 4-8 months. Reason of changing is usually the wire got lose at the 3.5 jack side, or sometimes at the earphone side.
What should I do? Buy a good & durable earbud? (earbud usually not durable right?) or buy cheap one and replace when it kaput.
Please recommend, if ONE durable earbud can last me a year + my budget will be ~RM200 If not, any cheap earbud recommendation? I love my SHE3850, not might try edifier H210.

good morning all sifus..i am the type of person who jogs quite a lot and of course i listen to music while doing so. the problem is,when i jog sometimes my phone(in my pocket) shifted to a position where the wire of my headphone(at the plug specifically) is bent. over sometimes,my earphone start to malfunction.sometimes i just push the wire back in the bent position somehow fixed it but overtime,my earphone would die on me.(so far i just used cheap2 earphone that cost rm10 like that) so is there any particular brand of earphone that u could say very durable or should i just opted to the wireless one?

All my straight end headphone plug also unable to use due to flexing it too much either get wireless or when you choose another earphone, get with 90 degree headphone jack or the 45 degree (which is the best) to prevent any problems such from flexibility such as V-Moda Vibrato or the Munitio Billets series, but for jogging you should choose wireless earbuds such as Plantronics BackBeat Go 2 which is currently the best option for wireless This post has been edited by Memories_Fallen: Aug 31 2013, 02:46 AM

Prefer around ears but most of them not portable design. At least able to on neck should be enough. Tested V-Moda 100 last time, I feel uncomfy.
