From FA-003 to Beyer COP, really a noticeable improvement? Well, from my ear yes. But totally different setup. So that's why I a bit reluctant to get COP.

- Budget: RM 1000, the lower the better.
- Your rig: Note 2. Laptop > UD100. Still deciding DAC and amp. - What type of usage: Music. - File format used in your source: Common lossy and loseless. - Genre of music you listen to: All sort. Universal listener. - Headphone/ earphone type: IEM/ Closed can. - Other requirements: Clarity with accurate bass, not a bass head. Portable in term of design, and function. Earpad that allow my ear breathing. After heavy justification, I decided have enough with speaker (for now) and focus on portable audio product so I can enjoy them anytime, anywhere. So for RM1k, headphone or IEM better? Before I never fan of IEM because tested JH Audio, uncomfortably fit to my ear thus I prefer headphone. Somehow after spending time with FA-003, this headphone too big to bring here and there. In love with Beyer COP but do I still have other option? QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Aug 25 2013, 01:41 AM) Isolation and clarity usually IEM has the upperhand, headphones have better soundstage. I see.. So, how about those universal IEM?JH Audio is customs, so i don't think the uncomfortable fit in their demo set matters much since in the end it will be your ear molds that gives you the fit. |

Really no idea to get what. Seems like step up from FA-003 to Beyer COP not really worth it.

QUOTE(SpringBiscuit @ Aug 27 2013, 11:16 AM) You can try Sennheiser PX-100II and AKG K420. Both have the signature and functionality you are looking at. I love your answer. Helping me in dilemma. Hehe... I just love the sound, sound good to my ear. But that time during testing, it's different setup so it's unfair to compare directly to my FA-003. My FA-003 serve me well, and the bass good enough for me so I don't expect super bass. Maybe I should get amp or better DAC, amp or DAC cum amp? Tested Yulong U100, really improve the performance. But thinking of testing DACport and see how far the sound will go. Technically in term of price comparison, it is not really an upgrade. However if you look at another way, do you like the signature of COP? Is the bass adjustable feature attracts you? What is the lacking part of FA003, is it the bass that you can compensate from COP? I guess, I won't be getting COP for now because I might not satisfied and then spend more for another headphone. Been thinking DT 880 Pro with DACPort Jaben combo. But it's open. Well, can't judge until test the headphone right? Maybe the T 70 P? But they need to be amped right? I'm looking for something portable, foldable. |

QUOTE(noobandroid @ Aug 27 2013, 12:10 PM) I tested T 70 P. Lovely... Any on this level for other headphone? What do you mean demanding? BTW, if I drive T 70 P with amp, I wonder if it's the same quality with T 70 amped? Lower impedance known for issue for maxing the volume. But again, who will max the volume. |

Sennheiser Momentum sangat sexy!
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10201755960729991 Slow poke. Hehe... Thinking of getting this. Hopefully got audit unit. Really interested with T70P, but not really practical for portable due to the large size. |

QUOTE(noobandroid @ Aug 27 2013, 10:38 PM) yeah, but the shape reminds me of HD202 and to me, unless the clamp force isnt that uber, nope, not for me Not sure if Jaben will hold promotion for this. I love their portable design, because I want to use with my mobile, not to show off. QUOTE(Ask_Yip @ Aug 27 2013, 10:45 PM) This is momentum on ear, boomy than the original momentum over ear, to me is more towards fashion but still sound good, but not as good as the original momentum... So, it's new released? |

QUOTE(Memories_Fallen @ Aug 28 2013, 10:10 AM) But V-Moda too small for me. Uncomfortable and more to bass head. While I prefer something balanced. I'm okay with Beyer signature sound. But T70P too big to be "P". Hehe... What else within T70P price that can I get. Or else, will get T70P. Prefer closed because no privacy with open, might disturb other... |

QUOTE(memories_Fallen @ Aug 28 2013, 10:21 AM) too small ah Yeah. COP quite bulky and not suitable for at the neck usage. Quite difficult to get portable in both of powering and carrying. over ear woh, agree damn uncomfortable but already ordered the XL pads online, which is a replacement pad for better comfort tried the beyerdynamics custom one pro at jaben, that thing is bulky as hell! QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Aug 28 2013, 10:25 AM) That depends in what sense you mean by better... V-moda over color for me. Haha...And quite heavy. At least better look than beats. The m100 is more bass heavy and fun sounding(quite coloured) The momentums is more balanced and natural sounding. If you prefer abit more details and reference like, then momentum suits more than the m100. If you prefer a fun sound then m100.. IMO. |
