QUOTE(jyu_bonk @ Sep 2 2014, 04:27 PM) Hi, Hello, glad you're into bluetooth headphones. I need suggestion on getting a bluetooth headphone. I can't think anything else except beats dr dre, and I only knew this brand. Can you guys suggest me the best wireless headphone? Thanks. I have UE9000, they are a bit outdated, but sound quality and features not bad. It has active noise cancelling and built-in Amp that require power. If the battery ran flat you can still listen to music via cable connections. Built quality is very good but weights a little heavy. But very comfortable wearing them. I have tested the Bose AE2W, Beats Studio 2013, and Sony MDR1rbtMK2. The AE2W it is very light and comfortable, they can be connected to 2 devices at the same time via bluetooth. Like the UE9000, you can still listen to music if your battery is dried. The AE2W do not have active noise cancelling. Very light and comfortable to wear. But I was not impressed with the Sound Quality. Very flat and no sign of life. The Beats Studio was louder, they music comes back alive and I must say the Sound Quality is not as bad as they say. It's very comfortable to wear, but made mostly with plastic and felt not very solid. It has noise cancelling feature and an amp built in, the disadvantage is you can't turn off the noise cancelling and the amp like the UE9000. If the battery is flat, you can't get any music out of it. For easy storage, this headphone is foldable. The Sony MDR1RBTMK2 is the newest among the above, it is the headphone I wished I had bought when they were on sale earlier this year. The sound quality is comparable with the UE9000, solid bass and clear treble. The mid is ok but they are not boosted like the bass and treble. It had NFC for easy pairing, no active noise cancelling. Like the UE9000 you can turn the power off and listen to music via cable connection. Of course there are also the Parrot Zig, I didn't have the chance to test them out, this one is packed with features, touch control on the headphone is one of the most impressed feature. Well I hope this can help you make a decision on bluetooth headphones. You can check on EBay for good offers and discounts. Good Luck shopping. |

Does anyone try Grado iGi before? Do it somehow "resemble" Alessandro MS1 in the way it sounds?

Btw, is active niose cancelling is a one of great feature that must have in a headphone? I prefer to have it because frequent travel by plane and if I choose Sony, it's to this two. MDR-ZX750BN/B MDR-1RBTMK2 I'm really sorry but I do not what's the feature on MDR-1RBTMK2 really means So far, just understood the active noise cancelling feature. QUOTE(jyu_bonk @ Sep 4 2014, 07:20 AM) Thanks for the great reply and review. Really help me a lot. It's all personal preference, usually a normal closed over ear headphone can block out ambient noise quite well already. If you turn up the volume, you should feel quite isolated from your environment. With active noise cancelling, it is suppose to block out the ambient noise even better. The active noise cancelling of UE9000 is not the best in its class, neither is the Beats Studio.Btw, is active niose cancelling is a one of great feature that must have in a headphone? The MDR-ZX750BN looked like it'll have the active noise cancelling, but Sony is calling it digital noise cancelling. NFC means Near Field Communication, the Sony will pair devices with NFC feature just by touching. Please note the current iDevices do not have the NFC feature. The iPhone 6 that will be release in a few days is likely to have NFC. And also NCF and bluetooth are 2 different thing. If you fly a lot please keep in mind that you're not suppose to use bluetooth on flights ok? |

QUOTE(psychoactive @ Sep 2 2014, 05:21 AM) Corrupted file? Is the hissing sound it's in just the piano FLAC? Have you tried to play it across different source? I'm not sure. I heard the same sound if I play from Youtube or even downloaded FLAC file. What do you mean by different sources? Other headphone or different audio files? Other audio files seems okay to me QUOTE(Ramone @ Sep 4 2014, 07:12 PM) It's all personal preference, usually a normal closed over ear headphone can block out ambient noise quite well already. Rig: Mostly on One Plus One phone
Usage: daily outdoor wear during my commute to class File format: MP3,FLAC Genre: Varies a lot, from electronic rock(Muse), Indie( The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, The National, The XX,Tame Impala), Rock (Foo Fighters), Melody (Pink Floyd), experimental (Radiohead),Punk(Blink182, +44), to pop( JT, Katy Perry), Bon Iver, Kodaline, the list goes on. Headphone/ earphone type: IEM Other requirements: I'm not really sure on what I'm looking for, but maybe somewhat a balanced sound or more on mid-trebles. Brand: No preference Budget: ranging from 120AUD-350AUD( ~RM350-RM1050). I don't mind buying used. Current target: I've looked at Shure SE215, SE535, Senn IE80, Westone 3, 1964 Ears V6 Stage. I hope you guys can recommend either of these or suggest me a better IEM in your opinion. I currently owned M50s and it has been a year since. A great closed headphones, really an upgrade from Senn HD202 and loving it. My only complain is on the really firm clamp, not really portable and could be uncomfortable after long hours listening to it. So I think it's time for me to get an IEM as a portable earphone and let M50s to be on my computer. Also, I got a Piston 2 being shipped to me atm if it matters. Thanks in advance! Decent all rounder, not too good with its pricing with current competitors.Usage: daily outdoor wear during my commute to class File format: MP3,FLAC Genre: Varies a lot, from electronic rock(Muse), Indie( The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, The National, The XX,Tame Impala), Rock (Foo Fighters), Melody (Pink Floyd), experimental (Radiohead),Punk(Blink182, +44), to pop( JT, Katy Perry), Bon Iver, Kodaline, the list goes on. Shure SE535 - Ok-ok'ish with Vocal/instrumental based tracks, strongly not recommended for complex track as those artist you listed, easily get fatigue (My ear cannot even stand for half an hour of Game OST listening) Senn IE80 - Never heard before... cant comment but what i feel its overpriced and hyped before Westone 3 - A little analytical and U shaped sound, not bad choice at all for your genre. 1964 Ears V6 Stage - Do consider DUNU DN-1000, TPeos H-200. I feel they are very good for the genre that you are listening to. Very lively and fun, especially using the DN-1000 listening to Radiohead's song such as Paranoid Android, Karma police, Reckoner. IMO, if only on mobile phone, SE535, IE80 and 1964 will be wasted. I choose Westone 3 if only for mobile phone, good enough already.

QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Sep 5 2014, 05:16 PM) Thanks guys! auditioned SE535,215, Final Audio Design Heaven V & Aging, AudioFly AF140, ATH IM50, Westone W30 today at jaben aus. and I just checked the V6, out of my budget apparently So right now im hooked with either 535, Heaven V and AF140. I was happy with the 535 but then tried the Heaven V.. And that moment there on I'm confused if I want either clarity or a well balanced sound. Special mention to V aging due to its unique sound signature, dont really know how to describe sound as im really new at this audio thing |

QUOTE(haha0803 @ Sep 4 2014, 02:26 AM) Never tried it but based on reviews, I don't think it has the exact sound of MS1 But it would be really epic to have an IEM that has the exact/similar sound as the MS1 |
