I just bought Sony MDR10-BT in the States. It's bluetooth and I choose the codec to by aptX on my macbook.

However, I heard periodic hissing sound when I play this particular piano flac.. I even hear it when I put the cable on.. But, I don't hear the hissing sound when I play couple of others FLAC files.

Any thought?

Corrupted file? Is the hissing sound it's in just the piano FLAC? Have you tried to play it across different source?

I'm not sure. I heard the same sound if I play from Youtube or even downloaded FLAC file.

What do you mean by different sources? Other headphone or different audio files? Other audio files seems okay to me rclxub.gif

It's all personal preference, usually a normal closed over ear headphone can block out ambient noise quite well already.  If you turn up the volume, you should feel quite isolated from your environment.  With active noise cancelling, it is suppose to block out the ambient noise even better.  The active noise cancelling of UE9000 is not the best in its class, neither is the Beats Studio.

The MDR-ZX750BN looked like it'll have the active noise cancelling, but Sony is calling it digital noise cancelling.

NFC means Near Field Communication, the Sony will pair devices with NFC feature just by touching.  Please note the current iDevices do not have the NFC feature.  The iPhone 6 that will be release in a few days is likely to have NFC.  And also NCF and bluetooth are 2 different thing.

If you fly a lot please keep in mind that you're not suppose to use bluetooth on flights ok?

Do not use bluetooth while take-off and landing. The rest should be okay biggrin.gif
