so youre basically saying  to just stick with my hd668b??

If it sounds good to you y not? I have one myself, and i use it for monitoring and recording my guitar, if u plan on upgrading can go jaben and audition other headphones that suits your taste, check out beyer dt880 or akg k550 or even sennheiser hd600, different people have different preferences smile.gif

my budget is abt RM5k (which is gonna drive me to almost pokkai state)
I am actually of planning to get a Pandora Hope VI and a AK100...
So, if CIEM is better than I'll go for that..
my player is Xperia Z1
*
or can opt for Fiio X5 + CIEM biggrin.gif

is CIEM really worth it? JH5 vs SE535? which one is better? and SE535 vs Pandora Hope VI, which one is better?
I have a Cricri+ back in Malaysia.. and I am currently residing in Taiwan nw.. so, yea... I only have my phne and SE535 with me now..
AK100 (which one to get to drive Pandora? MK1 or MK2? ) + Pandora Hope VI?
or
JH16 / UM Miracle + Xperia Z1?

EDIT: And the main issue I forgot is that I am currently living in Taiwan! I dont know where to get my ear impressions done and who to find to help me ship them to the manufacturer to help me make my CIEM.... So yea, would love to go for headphones if possible, as I have an earphone already.. smile.gif Thanks!! biggrin.gif
*
There's no which one is better IMO, it all depends on your sound preference, since u said u like the pandora more than the SE535, then might as well settle with the ak100+pandora combo if portability is not a big issue for u, u can always venture into CIEM in the future when your budget allows brows.gif

- Your rig = Lenovo notebook, HTC One
- What type of usage = Only music
- File format used in your source = 320 kbps mp3, flac, alac
- Genre of music you listen to = Trance, EDM, rock, chill out
- Headphone/ earphone type = IEM
- Other requirements = Good looks is not a must but a bonus tongue.gif
- Budget = Below RM300

Using it on the go. Got headphones to do the bigger job. Just need something to use while studying and travelling. Need bass as i am listening to electro songs mostly. Will be pairing it with GoVibe Mini Box amp or GoVibe Mini UDAC. Was looking at Hippo VB, Vsonic GR06, Brainwavz M2/M3 and ATH-CKM500. Any recommendations will be appreciated smile.gif TQ
*
You can also add the DUNU Trident into your list bro, I have the ATH-CKM500 and i prefer the trident for trance and EDM, ATH-CKM500 has somewhat piering highs, Trident's warm signature are more comfortable to listen to and the bass doesn't fall short when compared to the ckm500, trident is a tad bit more refined than the ckm500, however I also really enjoy the wide soundstage on the CKM500

Nevertheless, both are great sounding IEMs and for your genre preferences you can't go wrong with either one of them cool.gif

How bout the Klipsch S4i bro?
*
I have only auditioned the S4i at a shop so I can only give you my initial impression, I find the S4 to be quite muddy and bloated which covers the whole spectrum, mids and highs are really messy and not detailed, I would rate both the IEMs mentioned earlier higher than the S4

Where can i get the DUNU Trident though. Its not really that common isn't it
*
DUNU makes some pretty nice IEMs, their new hybrid DUNU DN-1000 has lots of positive reviews, I don't know where you can source one in malaysia, but i got my unit from sg, this website, and they do ship internationally smile.gif

so this whats the sound signature of this ath m50x? and the price too yah thx  thumbup.gif
*
the M50 are quite good, but mids are recessed and a little bump in the bass region, however the sound is still quite smooth but highs might be a bit piercing for some people, pads are not really comfortable at least for me
for the price it's really a good deal, change a pair of pads and you're good to go smile.gif

If wanna change the pad, what pad we should change into?
*
Not sure though, read online people saying they changed into shure 840 pads, I currently have 840 pads on my superlux 668b, and I can say it's very comfortable, just add a bit of tissue paper underneath the pads to make it thicker so your ears wouldn't touch the inside of the cups smile.gif

Not sure the HM5 pads would fit or not, but i'm getting a pair for my HFI-580, should be more comfortable than the stock pads on them smile.gif

Do u enjoy big bass? if so can consider the Razer Electra, bassy which are good for gaming if that's your thing, but if u listen to music more, for that budget I would recommend the Superlux 668B smile.gif

hi proandroid tongue.gif

so

Audio-Technica ES700 (lively sounds and detailed)
Audio-Technica M50 (Great bass and slightly "trebled" sound)
V-Moda Crossfade M-80 (stylish looking + portable + good sound quality)
Grado SR225i (rock/metal sounds really good )
Creative Aurvana Live! (this one is not even RM500, sounds is the best among these)

among these, which 1 has velour full sized??
sorry but I need your spoonfeeding T_T
*
none, except grado's but they're cushion

Actually I find that the M50s are a little hyped, I'm not saying they're not good, but the recessed mid and emphasized bass are not my thing, this might appeal to some listener's though. The Creative Aurvana Live! has a more neutral signature with just the right amount of bass, and most of all the incredible soundstage for a close-back, but isolation is sub par sweat.gif built quality is not that great either, compared to the M50's which are built like a tank

The Creative Aurvana Live! sounds absolutely amazing for it's price, I feel that they're quite underrated. I think more people should give these cans a chance smile.gif

^ IMO the DT770 80 ohm is a really great pair of cans and is definitely worth getting, since u listen to R&B I believe u will definitely appreciate the bass on the 770, 80 ohm doesn't require an amp however definitely benefit from one.

With your budget u can get better headphones, however I suggest u to get the 770 and use the exra cash to get a decent DAC, the source is very important smile.gif
