hmm.. if i take cab to Jimbaran should be ok right? cos Its slightly further than airport.. so if i take bluebird, it should cost around 40K-50K?

From Airport to Jimbaran is very near...I hv not chk the taxi pricing..but probably less than Rp30K...So inc of dinner for two RM25 +taxi RM10 = RM35 cheap oledi.... biggrin.gif ..U ask driver to bring u u will end up paying >RM100 for the dinner

U can either rent a Suzuki Jimmy for ~Rp125k per day (~RM50/day) or take a taxi meter for ~25K or RM10 to Kuta...if nearby...Taking taxi from outside?..Almost similar pricing....For eg taking metered Bluebird to Seminyak =Rp55K (Which I did not. I rented a car) But on my way bck to Airport, I took another common taxi to Airport..using meter..yes...& by the time reaching Airport..meter show Rp53K..but he asked for RP55K..So same only sad.gif

From Hardrock to Jimbaran will be another distant away...The taxi fare will probably doubled to ~RP50K

Me too. Hired him for 3 days. Hope the weather is fine over there. It's been raining every evening in KL. So worry about the trip. sweat.gif

BTW, are u going to hand-carry ur wine? I thought it should be okie if we were to check-in liquid items.

Stimix, u said that we can't bring shampoo and etc, what u mean is hand-carry, rite? But can we put those liquid items in our check-in luggage? Pls. advise.

Thanks!

Well, then check-in your wine..if u wrapped it carefully, it won't break...I checked-in my big jar of honey, all the way from Korea and it's fine....Wrapped it with styrofoam and box, then packed it in between your clothes. hmm.gif

Sunset at Uluwatu is much more nicer than watching it Dreamland, and also IMO the entrance fee for Dreamland is really not worth it, not to mention you'll have to climb down a sandy and slippery staircase down the cliff to reach the beach, really not recommended for elderly and kids.
If you are interested to see the giant statues of Vishnu and Garuda, can consider going to GWK since it's in the same area, but nothing much to see also beside the 2 giant statues there plus the unique limestone mining area.

Skip Pacung if possible, Tegalalang has a much better view.  And also never ever go for the buffet lunch there at Pacung, which is super expensive and tasted awful, not to mention not very hygienic too.

hey bro thks for the advise....pacung buffer u is expensive..then how about go to the strawberry stop(not sure the location yet) plz advise bro...

Anyways, the food at holiday villa is halal. But dont expect much for breakfast. When I went just the standard eggs n toast n cereal.
Hmm... rm574 is quite high. Which room are you staying in? The villas?

Hi all, I only have 2 days to do sightseeing in Bali. Others will be diving. For first day, I will be travelling from South (Kuta) to North (Tulamben) and for last day, from North (Tulamben) to South (Kuta/Nusa Dua). Any suggestion about:

(1) How much is the driver+guide+petrol+car for a day like this?
(2) In between the route, I saw that Ubud, Kitanami etc. are very interesting places. Any recommendation about the itenary?
(3) Any interesting places around Tulamben? I only know that it is a diving area, quiet and no night life.

Thanks in advance. Going in mid-November. Very excited.

Just came back frm Bali on 19 Oct, stayed in Holiday Villa, Sanur(exactly the same reason as you). RM 574 per night is too high (unless it's d villa with private pool). Try booking through J Card. It's US40 for Superior & US50 for Deluxe with b/f for two. The atmostphere inside the hotel and garden are quite pleasant but the furniture and bathrooms in the rooms are quite run down. The set back is the beach...the hotel is actually located on a public beach.
There is no problem getting halal food around Sanur becos there are a few nasi padang restaurants and KFC, Dunkin and Mc D is easily available. Get back to me if you're interested for more details about the restaurants and price. Enjoy...
