it should be quite safe there. It is better you can find others to join you, to share the driver fees

QUOTE(rumraisin00 @ Oct 6 2008, 12:40 PM) Hi there everyone. I need some comments and help for my itinery planning for 6 days 6 nights trip in Bali. Below is my itinery: 1. Can't really comment where is the must visit spots. It is very much dependent on what you like to do/see.Day 1 Arrive in bali airport at 7.45pm Check in hotel in Kuta Dinner at Bamboo Corner Day 2 Kuta Town Lunch (Warung Made) Nusa Dua Bluepoint Villa Dreamland/ GWK Uluwatu to watch sunset Dinner at Jimbaran Kuta town Overnight in Kuta Day 3 Check out hotel Bedugul (Floating temple) Jatiluwih Lunch (???) Tanah Lot to watch sunset Check in hotel in Ubud Dinner Nuri Warung Overnight in Ubud Day 4 Tegalalang Kintamani (Lunch) Tampak siring Verona Spa Dinner bebek bengil Overnight in Ubud Day 5 Sukawati Free & easy in Ubud Lunch Ibu Oka (babi guling) Dinner Overnight in Ubud Day 6 Check out hotel Check in hotel in Kuta Free & Easy in Kuta Day 7 Check out hotel Flight depart at 2.25pm A few questions: 1. Is there any must-visit place that i miss out? 2. For the jimbaran seafood, should i go there for the sunset or after sunset in uluwatu? Any suggestion other than Lia cafe? 3. Can anyone suggest place for lunch for Day 3 betweeen the journey fr Bedugul to Tanah Lot. Is it possible if i check-in hotel in ubud + lunch in ubud after bedugul, then only back to Tanah Lot? 4. Lunch at kintamani - any suggestion for nice view + nice food? 2. Was pretty disappointed with the food at Jimbaran. Won't go there for 2nd time. 3. Lunch in Ubud - strongly recommend Dirty Duck (bebek) if you are into duck. 2 types of duck to be chosen from: one is the crispy duck and the other i forgot di but you have to make your booking one day in advance for the other type of duck. besides duck, of coz there're lots of other delicious food/liquor to choose from the menu |

Do your own research & u wil find the answer...It's depend..sometime AA 1/2 package (Not full) as it's covered only Hotel+room (NO TOUR). If u just buy ticket, u hv choices of diff hotels & can plan 2 nite in Kuta, 2 nite in Ubud & etc. By this way the hotels can be either more expensive or cheaper than AA offer...it's up to you actually.

But from reading & personally having my lunch in Ubud, It will be a very quiet & authentic Bali hotel stay especially the Padi field right at the back of those hotels in Ubud. Quiet & peaceful. However for those wanting night life, shopping & etc..UBUD will be hell of boring life..so basically it's up to you..between nite life & relaxing QUOTE(april @ Oct 16 2008, 09:24 AM) if i plan to have a 5d4n trip to bali and plan to stay at kuta and ubud, which city i should spend more time? During my trip, I stay at Komala Indah Sunset II, a guest house Bali style located along the Kuta Beach, for your references: http://www.virtualtourist.com/hotels/Asia/...Bali-BR-56.html
Very cheap, around RM50.00 with fan and RM60.00 with A/C. The hotel also could recommend a driver- the rate you need to bargain with the driver. Its not far from K-Mart- just like 7 Eleven here, Hard Rock Cafe, Polo Boutiques. |

@stimix,
I originally planned to take mom for a nice holiday in Bali, to rent a nice villa for Bali but she asked some of her friends to come along and they're v 'troublesome' so I left everything to them. They ended up booking into some stupid hotel @ Kuta! *siGh* I've been so bZ I didn't care - i know roughly what the plans are cause I did my research many months back. Anyhow, thanks for all the information |

when you reach the airport, there are many fliers there to pick up and you can easily get some cheap driver services. last year when we went there, we hire a van for about 8/9 hours for roughly RM80 which was shared among 3 of us and that was fairly cheap.
