Because you never tried how a modded cherry stabilizer feel like.
No squeak, feels like any switch, and easy key removal.

I actually wondering and keen to know how modded cherry stabilizers feel...

Are you saying costar stabs are better than cherry stabs?

This 'bout to get real!

Yes. That's basically what I am saying smile.gif

There are no squeaks on my modifiers at the moment. The cherry stabilizers that I have tried before are bad (obviously without mods).

Ducky is not a downgrade. smile.gif

It is to me. Tried Ducky Shine 1 and promised myself that I will steer clear of Ducky products for the time being.

But to each his own, some people swear that this is good while others have their own preference.

Well, the DS1 that I tried has mushy modifiers (not modded).

Besides that, the construction was not good enough for me. I think it has to do with the metal plate that Filco uses to make key presses feel a lot more solid than the DS1. I also noticed frame flexing on the DS1.

Also, IIANM (it has been quite a while, like 2-3 years ago, so forgive me if this is not the case) I seem to recall that the DS1 being a lot more taller than the Filco. So typing on it was pretty uncomfortable. I did not want to be forced into buying a wrist rest for that.

Cherry stabs have mushy feeling, that is a norm esp with stock keyboard.

I agree that ducky keyboard is a bit tall on height.
i find it a bit awkward when moved back to filco, but now i am already used to wrist rest biggrin.gif

Using Filco Majestouch 2 Blue and keycaps are the Vortex Stealth dye sub from kaiserreich.

I wonder if anyone is selling the inserts here in LYN. It would be useful to have more so that I don't have to pull out the inserts everytime I change keycaps...
*
Keycool used to sell them separately, but now I think you need to opt for the one supply by wadskeyboard.

With this keyboard, it will tweak your typing speed. Just like their ROG mobo and GPU. They tend to overclock better. thumbup.gif

Yes, to each of their own. I have nothing to say about Ducky quality, I personally think that they are not that good.

Cherry stabs on the other hand is a lot better than Costar, feel and convenient wise. : )
