Hmmm. I have been trying to search for keycaps for modifiers for my Filco. So far I see only for Cherry style. Anyone kind enough to point me in the direction of Costar stabilizer keycaps?

It is cherry profile I suppose you are seeing
Cherry profile generally shorter than OEM height.

There is nothing to do with stablizer type.
Both costar and cherry stab can fit standard caps

Pardon me if you mean the type like cherry board.

But in taobao most of them fits standard layout.

ow snap... the bottom shell is what that affects the typing feel of a particular keyboard.. top shell doesn't have much influence except for looks

If costar, you just insert the insert to new caps and then mount back to your kb
